wonder what other games can take advantage of this board along with the wii mote. Skating games for instance?

    EDIT: dammit wrong board!

I was thinking skating, but I didn't know if the board would be tough to handle any jumping on it or something. It would be very cool if they could get some way to simulate a skateboard with you having to kick to keep moving and jump on the board to do kickflips and stuff.

I immediately thought the board would work well for a surfing game since you have full contact with the board in that sport.

Well since it senses weight, it should be able to tell if you're jumping or not so I don't see why it wouldn't work for a skateboard game.

It's definitely an interesting idea, and Nintendo sure has come along way since that floor mat they had for the NES with Track and Field. I'm not going to committ to buying this thing because I don't want to drop a bunch of money on add-ons that won't get used often. If they back it with enough quality software though I'll give it a look. It certainly seemed to win over those in attendance.

This thing has POTENTIAL written all over it!

How about a skiing game? Perfect.

And what about turning it sidewise (vertical length is perpendicular to the TV), and using it in conjunction with the WiiMote for the MOST REALISTIC BASEBALL BATTING INTERFACE EVER. It would sense your foot placement and body weight distribution from pre-swing all the way through. You could move your feet pre-pitch to adjust your position in the batter's box. I'm begging 2K to take advantage of this idea for next season.
Been gaming since the Atari 2600, and hells no I won't stop!!!

I meant handle in terms of durability. I didn't notice any vids of the Wii board being jumped on. I think it would be great to have a skater game with it.

Maybe even another Wii specific SSX game using the board? Not sure how sensitive this thing will be, but it certainly does have many interesting possibilities.
