This will be the first first-person shooter I'll purchase since Doom. The Wii controls just make it sound too immersive to pass up.

I cannot WAIT for this! The only problem is, it comes out the day school starts, and I stay by my Grandma during the week, leaving my Wii @ home.

August releases could potentially take a big toll on my wallet, with Metroid, Madden, Carnival Games, and Brunswick Bowling all being probable purchases. Metroid on release day, and the other three as time goes on.

Matrix, just for your info for later. The IGN guys have said that the Brunswick bowling game is terrible (at least from their playtests).

Back to Metroid....

I can't wait for it. Too bad those games are so deep and challenging. For a gamer who's not very skilled, it's tough to even marginally get through the whole puzzle.

But you know what? It's amazing either way.

According the latest word on the net, the first official review of the upcoming Wii exclusive game, Metroid Prime 3 : Corruption, is in from Nintendo Power. They give the game a perfect score of 10/10.

• First Wii game that you couldn't confuse graphically with last-gen
• Great artwork
• Incredible feeling of immersion
• Flawless level design; tons of freedom to explore but you always have the feeling that you're at the right place at the right time. Sounds like the game does a remarkable job of nudging you as to what to do without giving it away.
• As much an adventure/platformer/puzzle game as FPS (also talks about how the platforming is the best in any FPS).
• Gestures for pulling levers, etc markedly improved from earlier demos

Thats pretty amazing i cant wait to get this game i reserved it at ebgames. and i am excited about it alot this and halo are gonna run my life for the next 2-3 months probably

I heard this was going to be the last metroid, that kinda suxs because nentindo dont have any other game that can compete with the lacks of halo and mgs other then metriod unless they are planining to create something
