Value of Final Fantasy X Game (PS2)

Hopfefully some of you FF afficionados can help me out.
I currently am selling my brand new (still in wrap) Final Fantasy X game which was purchased for me as a gift during its launch week.

Much to my surprise the top bid has now reached over $90. I know this is not a fluke as I have communicated with that potential buyer on shipping costs. In fact, there are two interested parties that seem very itent on purchasing it thus driving the bids up.

Why is this game so valuable? Any ideas?

because now they make it as a greatest hits series only?

Look at FFVII non-greatest hits if you want to see some interesting video game prices. Too bad I can't find mine (still in the case, mint condition) Hopefully next time I clean house I'll grab them though somewhere.

I still got that game FFVII and the Strategy guide that you cant find anywhere. Wonder how much I get on E-Bay for the both.

I sold both FF VII and FF IX as a package (original launch date PS copies) about a month ago.

I think I screwed up b/c in other listings at that time, FF VII alone was going for around $50-70. I was only able to get $45 for both of VII and IX. They were used but in mint condition.

I sold a copy of FF VIII Strategy Guide a week later for $49.50.

Currently my new FF X (PS2) is at $94.

The FF series is definitely a hot commodity.
