This is one of the best games that I've ever played. Everything just clicked for me in this game, the story, graphics, and action were very well done. Even though the action sequences were button presses I was tense during every battle and I was emotionally involved as well. This for me is the first Mature game that I've played. Other games claim being mature but they just have violence and language which to me is not mature just vulgar.
Heavy Rain introduced a mature storyline with consequences for your actions which leave you emotionally attached to your characters.

My gf's ending (I haven't even finished yet lol):

• Ethan drinks poison and goes and save Shaun. It appears that Shelby shoots him which we later find out Ethan doesn't die.

• Madison is chased through shipyard and crawls up a crane with Shelby chasing her. She gets cornered but then Ethan, who we thought was dead, shoots Shelby, who falls into a large vat of water and dies.

• Jayden died from a drug overdose before Madison ever even enters Shelby's apartment. He was putting the final clues together via his ARI when his eyes and nose and ears started bleeding and he dropped dead at his desk.

• Lauren died in the car at the bottom of the river.

• At the very end, Ethan, Madison and Shaun get an apt together and...

• Blake and the captain are discussing Jayden's funeral but Blake decides not to go. While sitting at his desk, Blake decides to put the ARI on, and while using it, Jayden appears in virtual form smirking and walking toward Blake. You hear Blake scream and the scene ends.

• The final image is a shot of Shelby's grave.

Do we ever find out what the deal was with Ethan blacking out then ending up on that random street with origami figures in his hands? That was a huge part at the beginning then it's never explained lol. Either way, I can't wait to see my ending!

Yeah, it's kind of a hole in the story and seems almost thrown in to push along the "unwitting killer" angle. Still, I explained it to myself as he was so guilt-ridden about his first son he subconsciously latched on to the most prominent "bad guy" archetype currently available to justify his self-loathing. So he made or found the origami during his "blackouts."

This could also explain why later he was so convinced he was the Origami Killer, even though there was far too much logical evidence refuting such ideas.

My first thought was a simpler (and for me, less interesting...which is why I changed it in my head) idea. It could be that Shelby was tracking Ethan all along and simply planted them. Since he is an ex-cop/current PI, such attention to detail is what made him so untraceable as a serial killer for all that time. He was obviously monitoring the father's through the various trials, so it may be plausible.

Further, if he was seen following him, his role as PI could explain it away, given the fear of the killings (and looking at how readily the police linked Ethan with so little evidence...lol).

There are some holes/leaps of logic in those too, but far less than the actual story leaves in that regard.

Lol, a perfect SoxFan response, and I think I like where you're going with it. I might run with that theme and try to conjure up some ideas of my own as I finish my playthrough

Picked it up on the weekend and I love it so far.

I've never played a game where i can be so bored one minute

i can't believe they decided it was a good decision to make us change a babies nappy in this game, i was like "WTF you can't be serious". I have to do that in real life i don't want to be doing it in videogames.

then had my heart pounding on the edge of my seat the next

that whole bit driving 5 miles against traffic in 5 minutes was intense!

I'm definetly hooked though and can't stop thinking about getting back into it tonight after work.

The facial graphics on those loading screens are amazingly lifelike and must say i am a fan of any game that shows me

LOL I heard that was in the game but i was trying to figure out which character it would be. I'm only two origami "quests" in so i still have a ways to go. The main guy Ethan is married and he and his wife are too depressed to be hitting it, so i guess it must be Maddison, will just have to wait and see. It better not be the private detective, do think i could watch a sex scene with him in and keep my lunch down. Not to mention he'd prob drop dead because of the asthma.

I hope they make more games like this, i find it a nice change of pace from the usual shoot em up's i play.

I can also see why some people won't like this game and they have a legit gripe (it's basically one big cutscene with quicktime controls) but i love it and am enjoying the experience.

Also ARI is very cool.
