Oh, i know the game's up my alley (really enjoyed Indigo Prophecy (except for the ending dumb stuff)), so I'll just hold off for now

I would just wait. I'd recommend it to someone who wasn't planning on playing it, or had never heard of it, etc.; but for people who are already "in," you're not missing anything.

Just finished playing the demo... what a cool looking game.

This just went from a possible rental, to a day 1 purchase for me. The graphics are great, the controls work well, the story seems interesting, and it's something different than every sports/shooter/action game that I've been playing for the last few years. At the very least, this should make the longest week ever, that being the week leading up to The Show, go by slightly faster.

One game that a lot of people have been having heated discussions about around the office is the soon to be released PS3 game, Heavy Rain. Although, some people wouldn't even call it a game, it may be more appropriate to call it an "interactive narrative". In this week's Soapbox, Adam explains that while this game may not be your cup of tea, it's an important advancement in the art of video games, and everyone should at least give it a try.

I'm glad to see Quantic Dream finally making their game. There is no question this game won't be for everyone, Indigo Prophecy sure wasn't, but the attention to detail they put in a game is amazing.

Enjoy the game guys, this is one game I wish I could actually play.

Yeah I feel the same, for some reason he really gets under my skin, but he brings alot of passion to his reviews.

I really don't get why people thought the acting was so horrific. Maybe not the best I've seen/heard, but it in no way distracted me from the overall experience.

I'm not that picky, like I said before this was going to be a day 1 purchase for me until I played the demo and saw how bad/cheesy the voice acting was.

I think that's Sessler's 'schtick.' More power to him - he sticks with it and doesn't give a damn. Obviously worked if he's the EIC at G4.

I always enjoy his passion though, whether I agree with it or not. That's what video gaming needs - passion. You'd be amazed how much of it is missing from some individuals "on the other side."

My only problem with Sessler is when he does sports games... he's clearly not a sports guy, and it really shows in his reviews/previews of that genre. Hell, last year, in his review of MLB 2K9, he stated two or three facts that were just flat out incorrect, almost as if he never even played the game.

That said, I agree with him on Heavy Rain's impact on gaming. Should be interested to see how this game is received.
