    Ghost Recon Enemy Recognition

In SOCOM(PS2) it's easy-the enemy has no name lettered near them. What's the easiest way to determine the enemy in Ghost Recon(XBOX)

I've been playing mainly multiplayer vs. bots lately, but:

the targeting cursor turns blue over friends, yellow over enemies.

        Re: Ghost Recon Enemy Recognition

To add on to this topic... enemy recognition in Ghost Recon depends entirely on what your IFF Mode setting is on.

If IFF mode is set to 'Name,' then what fossen said.

If IFF is set to 'Reticule,' then whenever you focus the crosshairs on a soldier, you'll see their name in blue. Otherwise, no name pops up whenever the crosshairs are pointed at any of your enemies.

If IFF is set to 'None,' then that's exactly what you'll see -- nothing. Pointing the crosshairs on any of your teammates reveal nothing as well. Needless to say that communication with your teammates and knowing each other's whereabouts at all times is absolutely vital in this setting, as it helps to not end up shooting each other while in the heat of battle.
