One of my favourite ones of all time is Triple Play 99. It had clips from the early baseball years, the baseball season prior and had a terrific narrative. I'll try and locate a link...

NHL 98, was and is the best intro(imho). My buddies and I would get so geeked up after watching this intro, we would start smashing into each other waiting for the game to start. We spent many a night not being afraid of the "Man in the Mask".

Love that intro! I was going to mentioned it but I couldn't remember which Triple Play title it was. The narration over it really made it great.

For non-sports games, I used to LOVE the Soul Blade CG intro for the PSone. The song that played over it was great and would always get me pumped to play.
