That is precisely why you should open a checking account an get a DEBIT/ATM card. It acts like a credit card because you can use it anywhere Visa/MC are accepted, but it just takes the funds out of your checking account, unlike a credit card. There is no balance to carry over, and trust me, you are not going to go ape s*^t on the spending, because it is your money, not a credit line.
Dude, you should just go thru your girl's purse while she is sleeping, grab her Visa and get hooked up on Live. Since there is no charge on it, she will be none the wiser.
Of course, if you don't remember to change the card info before the 1 year period ends, you may as well pack a week's worth of food and put a slicker on before heading into the "rainforest" and be prepared to have your picture show up on a few milk cartons, because you won't be heard from for a while.

Like the guy above said, don't wory about it showing on the bill. There is no charge at all-they just keep the card info on file.
