why would it make tiger sad, it just forces you to go out and buy his new game.

Only a few 360 games anyways, all of which are mostly dead online. It would only piss off the achievement people.

MVP 07 NCAA Baseball (PS2, Xbox)

That one's hard to believe. Didn't this game just come out earlier this year?

I'm missing your point... shutting down servers for games that aren't profitable to run servers for because so few people play them... how is that shady?

Why would you print online on the box and market it as being online then all of a sudden you discontinue the service leaving all your consumers who love your games forced to upgrade. Why don't they just start printing a warning on their box cover's "this title will be online for a period of time so you can upgrade to our lastest title even if you don't won't too but you must if you want to play our games online"

How can they shutdown xbox live servers, what's the point in paying for servers on live only to have the company shutdown that particular game.

So NCAA 05... a game that's been online for 2 years and probably no one plays online any more should still have servers that wastes EA's money?

Read the back of the box too... it does say that online's only guaranteed for a year or something. I mean, c'mon! Do you play 05? Do you play Arena Football? Do you play NFL Head Coach?

Re: EA dropping online support for 'older' games

To be fair, no one in their right mind could still be playing Madden 2006 for the 360 anymore.

As for MVP 2007 being killed, well I don't know how you could trust EA to keep one of their fringe games running anymore if this is true. Not even a full year? Really?

They do put that disclaimer on the back of the box.

List isn't that bad. It's basically XBOX & PS2 games that are getting the shaft plus or minus a few. I can understand that. They're forcing everyone to make the jump if they want that online experience.

I wish they would have kept MVP Baseball '05(PS2) up and running. I used to play that online with a friend of mine, all the time. Then they took the servers down, and I haven't been able to play a baseball game online with him since.

They should have at least kept it up and running due to them not making anymore MVP games since then.
