    Ghost Recon question?

Is Ghost Recon a good game offline? I might be buying an Xbox today, and I have $250-enough for either Xbox and Xbox Live or Xbox and Ghost Recon. I'll probably get the other one in a week or 2, but will Ghost Recon be fun to play offline for that week?

1 player will prepare you for XBL so I'd say get the box and GR!

Playing offline first is not a bad idea. There are a lot of unlockables that you can use online that are not available without playing the single player mode

I love the single player, I've had the game for 3 days and I'm already on the 10th mission. Prolly would be on the 13th or 14th but had to go out to dinner.
And I've never ran tru a game that fast before since my NES days. I could beat it if I played for an entire day, its just tht fun.

And also, they have a refurbished XBOX for 149. they just lowered the price. If I brought it about 2 weeks ago, it would still be 179. And the refurbished one looked brand the hell new. Perfect condition w/ the box, all the papers and everything sealed up.

I'd never buy a used console. I just don't trust them.

One more question, how similiar is the game to Socom. If I've been playing Socom for a few months, should I be able to jump right into Ghost Recon?

Honestly, I haven't even tried single player yet...I always go online but I'm going to try it hopefully this week. There just not enough hours in the day!
