Circuit City is suing the DVDTalk & CAG forums because someone there was posting their prices 2 weeks early (some of us know who the person is and I hope he doesn't get into trouble as his job could be on the line). So I guess posting them is not safe.

Yup, I guess what he was doing wasn't legal because these stores do have a notice on the ads that they can't be released until a certain date. While he was doing us all a favor and posting these 2-3 weeks in advance which was nice.............he could possibly lose his job, which I hope the guy doesn't.

You're probably right but Fry's is known to do some crazy stuff every now and then. It could be to help sell their PS3 stock you never know.

I hope Speedy comes out of this legal mess unharmed. CC didn't even bother with a cease and desist first.

Frankly I don't think it's the right thing to bully and intimidate someone who is driving business to your establishment. The legal angle is a whole other issue.

I wonder if Sony had anything to do with this. Speedy screwed up Sony's PS3 price drop announcement when he leaked the info on the internet in advance of their E3 presentation.
