      Re: Warhawk anyone?

I was in the beta and this game is ace. I've been playing the game since Friday. I received and early copy to participate in the IGN tourney. If you like and an arcade style BF, you will love this game. I've been playing against other guys and their are a 130 servers online right now.

If you are remotely interested in the game pick it up, their is a reason amongst beta testers is was affectionately titled "WOWHAWK" its a very, very good balanced game with some of the best character and plane customization outside of forza 2.

It's now up on the PSN store. And I think I'll get it as well.

edit: Well, I would be downloading it now, but the PSN isn't letting me add funds to my wallet. And I'm not alone.

How do you purchase over PSN? does it prompt for your credit card?

you have to give either a debit or credit card number. Then you use that card to add funds to your virtual wallet.

I wish Sony would set it up for the Sony Points cards. They have them listed online, but have not started selling them in stores.

Backbreaker, since you already have it and love it, can you invite people from your friends list, OR does it use a seperate friends list. That's the deal breaker for me. I'm still probably not getting it, but if you can get in games from the PSN friends list, that would make me want it a little more.

                        Re: Warhawk anyone?

I'd sure hope that a online only game wouldn't utilize a friends list separate from the PSN. There's no excuses for that now. It's ridiculous that previous games weren't integrated with the PSN.

Not to take this thread off topic, but everything about the PSN is half-assed. I literally base my decision as to which console I'm going to buy a game for by whether or not I plan on playing it online.

Agreed 100%. A seperate friends list for Warhawk only would kill this game for me, even if I'm interseted.

No offense to Backbreaker, but I'm sure he'd love this game no matter what it was, so I really want to see other impressions before thinking of picking it up.

So are the stand-alone and downloadable versions the same? I haven't read much on this, but another online game with an OS following would be hard to pass up.

I think the only difference is the in-store one costs $20 more and comes with a Blu-tooth headset.

Any impressions? Does anybody know how many maps there are?

That's it. The PSN download is a better option IMO. Since any USB headset works with the PS3. The stand alone, still installs completely on the HDD, but you have to have the disc to play the game. With the download, you just fire it up.
