    Resistance or GRAW 2?

I need a shooter for my PS3, all I have are sports games and I need to break up the monotony.

I heard these were both good, and wondering which I should get.

I cannot play online due to the Internet restrictions of my apt complex, so that shouldn't be a huge factor. I'm interested in a good single player
Mode but i also want to play multiplayer against/with my roommates.

I also would like the game that is easier to "pick up and play"...if that makes any sense, as I dont really us e the time or patience to learn complex control schemes.

    So thoughts?
I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

Oversimplification is the escape of men who want to avoid the duty demanded by true understanding.

Resistance if you can't play online. GRAW is just so much better online than offline.

I haven't played Resistance:FOM so I can't comment on that, but I think that GRAW:2 is a little bit more than a pickup and play type of game. I tried playing it with my brother and he found GRAW:2 to be frustrating.

I'm going to have to go with Resistance as well, if online is not an option for you. GRAW 2's single-player campaign is very, very short.

I personally prefer GRAW 2 over Resistance, but that is with the online portion factoring in. GRAW 2 co-op is alot of fun.

I thought both games were pretty shallow and boring. But maybe I'm just not much of an FPS guy anymore. Haven't really been able to get into one since Half Life.

I found Resistance boring as well, but it's mainly because of all the shooters I've played on the 360. I'll pick it up again and finish it once the price drops. It's the best shooter on the PS3 (which isn't saying much at the moment)

How far did you get into the game?

The beginning levels aren't too interesting but the action and weapons pick up later down.

The game is definitely worth a play through. Co-op campaign is fun too although weird that the other play never gets mentioned.

I enjoyed playing Resistance. The online mode is pretty fun if you know what you're doing and if everyone isn't hiding around sniping.

I have yet to play GRAW 2, even though I have it. It's been Warhawk since.

Since you can't play online, I highly recommend Resistance. It was one of the most enjoyable FPS that I have played in a long time. Towards the end it did feel like it was going on for too long, but its worth the money.
