    VGA Cables through Speakers

I bought VGA cables to play my 360 on my Computer Monitor, so i plugged the cable into the Monitor and that worked fine, but then I plugged in the audio cables to my computer, and the noise won't go through the speakers. Is there some way that I can adjust the settings on the computer so I can play the audio through the speakers?

Yeah, look at your sound controls and make sure the Line In jack isn't muted...On Windows I just double click the speaker icon in the status area on the right of the task bar. That should have all your options, you can unmute the line in, and vary the volume of it too.

        I bought one of these:

They're about $5 and they fit any 1/8" jack, computer, speakers, etc.

I'm pretty sure the VGA cables came with that (at least the MS ones do, if I remember right...)

I'm out of ideas...maybe make sure it's plugged into line in and not microphone. I don't think you're stupid, those were just the only ideas I can think of.

they way I did it was to plug the RCA cables into that adapter posted above, which comes with the official MS VGA cables. Then I got a gender changer adapter to plug both the end of the VGA cable audio jack and the pc speaker jack into. It works fine.

The gender changer is like $2 at radioshack. just go explain your setup and they'll point you to it.

In your computer's sound panel (lil speaker in your taskbar) double click it and make sure Line In is there.. if it's not, go to options, then properties... and check off "Line In"... then make sure the volume is where you want it.. you should get sound playing out of your speakers
