So, I've been playing a bit of the 1st one, and it takes awhile to get going. Kind of weird how it makes you fill up a respect meter to even do missions to continue the main story.

Not bad for a $9 game though. The jump from this to what's seen about SR2 already looks great. Bigger than the Vice City to San Andreas jump.

James Walker, of Bingegamer.net, has spotted a billboard that’s sure to rile up the XBOX 360 fanboys. If you watch the ULTOR trailer, at about 1:02, you’ll notice a billboard with a piece of the dreaded RED RING OF DEATH with what could be the words RED RING on top of it. Way to treat the consumers who purchased the first one, eh THQ?

I'm still only on my 2nd 360. Seems ironic that the game I was playing when I got the "Ring of Death", was Saint's Row. (never played it again)

This game is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO going to kill GTA 4. The rumor on the street is that it will get perfect 10s across the board at all the meddacritic stations.

It won't get perfect 10's but I think it will score well. You got to give Volition some props for calling out GTA 4 and trying things others in the genre are not.

Gamespot - E3 2008: Saints Row 2 Hands-On Update

Earlier today, while meeting with members of the Volition development team working on Saints Row 2, we were invited to play through the same prologue mission that we checked out last week. Nothing exciting about that you might think, but this time we were playing in co-op mode, we took a very different route through the prison escape, and we talked about some other features while we played. Some of you might consider this new info to be a spoiler of sorts, so consider yourself warned.

Liked the first one better than GTA personally. Curious though how this will stack up with the new GTA. Graphics look much better than part 1.

Co-Sign. I think just the fact that you can customize your character makes a big difference IMO when comparing it to the GTA series. Couple that w/ the fact that GTA4 basically stripped all customization aspects of the game, and SR2 has a chance to take the title. Specially now w/ the custom gang features and co-op story mode, maybe people will stop saying that it's a GTA clone (I HATE hearing/reading that all of the time. That's like saying that NBA 2K is a knock off of NBA Live. Same genra(?), different game.

Anyway, when I'm playing GTA4, it makes me miss the original SR, and makes it hard to wait for SR2.
