I'm really amazed how gamers are falling for the hype made by microsoft,halo 2 had the same kind of hype their giving halo 3 and the game was your typical short fps and the ending was just an adverstisment for halo 3 nothing really amazing at all.I just wish people would realize that their really isn't anything innonative about the halo franchise its just the hype created by mirosoft to milk the franchise,you know there is a problem with you come out with halo drinks.

I guess I will never understand why people feel the need to make posts about things they don't care for. I have no problem with this opinion at all or even discussing what it is that you don't like but I don't understand why people feel the need to start a new thread to say they don't like the game. Furthermore, you don't really state what you don't like about the game series. buzz kill. Halo was the game that put XBOX on the map. Halo 2 made XBOX live essential for million of gamers and HALO 3 will confirm the 360 dominance this generation.

if it wasn't for halo, there would be no xbox 360.
It's great fun with friends or online. There's nothing wrong with people having fun with something they purchase. Certain games get this lucky status. Goldenye for the N64 wasn't the best FPS ever either, but it was amazing to play with friends and was fun for years. Halo, unlike madden, isn't a game coming out for a genre heavily reliant on licenses, so you can easily ignore it if you choose to hate it. What Microsoft has done with Halo, and what they have done/will do with Gears of War is essential if they plan on competing in console gaming.
You have to hand it to them too. They do an excellent job of marketing these games. Have you even watched the "Believe" videos? Even with Gears of War, and the Mad World trailer, they just nail it. I for one am not crazy about how some games get hyped and have very little substance, but to say there is no substance behind Halo 3 is silly. Sure, maybe some don't like the FPS idea or the story line of the Halo Trilogy, but if you are a fan of it, you can't help but get caught up in the hype. It's a good hype too. Those museum videos add depth to the franchise like no other game has.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment
