Re: Online Halo Problems
before you start doing anything crazy, just cycle the power on your router (unplug the power source for 15 seconds and plug it back in). That has cleared it up for me before. If that doesn't work, you may have to open up a couple of ports (I don't have a link for that info, but I know it is out there).Comment

Re: Online Halo Problems
NAT was OPEN, called Xbox Live and they gave me some ports to open-contacted Netgear and some chick took control of my screen and opened all the ports. Got on with no problem-hope this clears up my All Pro Football online issues as well.Comment

Re: Online Halo Problems
I had this problem last night. I also have a netgear router. I was really angry and couldn't play online at all. I just got it fixed.
I had to set the router up again. I took all the security options off and I downloaded a patch at netgear.com.
It fixed the problem. It was a pain in the but though.***My Teams***

Re: Online Halo Problems
Im having huge lag problems and i seem to be the only one. I can't play a single online game without having lag, i ran a XBL test and everything seems to be working fine, the NAT is open. So my friend says i might have a virus or something, i know nothing about connecting the router and such. So basically Halo 3 is unplayable for me online, could someone please help me out?XBL: DTX3

Re: Online Halo Problems
I can't connect for a Halo 3 game right now at all. The NAT is open and so is the person I am attempting to connect to. If I try to do matchmaking the countdown timer stays at 0 and I don't connect to any games. Anyone able to help?Comment

Re: Online Halo Problems
As I described up above even though my NAT was OPEN, the XBox Live person gave me three ports to open and then gave me a NETGEAR number for my router service. I signed a 6 month $60 premium service contract with NETGEAR a couple of months ago when having to fix my router, so I got pretty good service this time around. Try calling Xbox Live first.Comment

Re: Online Halo Problems
Ok so, i buy a new router(NetGear) and it seem to work. I could now play a game without getting kicked off due to lag but, my connection bar seems to go up and down from green to red, and stays at red. What could i do to improve my connection? replace the modem?XBL: DTX3

Re: Online Halo Problems
portforward.com will tell you how to forward the 360 ports on your specific router. It is pretty important to put the 360 on it's own static IP and then let the router open the ports for it. Worst case, use the static IP for the 360 as your DMZ.Comment
