That was back in the good old days.

When MS announced the three year warranty on the RRoD, MS repairs started to increase. I'm working with someone who has a connection to my repair team. MS has had the unit since last Tuesday and he said it could be done by the end of next week.

If that happens, it will be six weeks from the first phone call.

Re: What a great #$%^ day!

I'm going to get written up for not attending a fire drill.

That could put me on disciplinary probation. The most ****ed up thing about it, is that I was asleep and apparently, the alarm equipment in my room didn't work right. So I was woken up at 6:30 by my RA slamming on my door.

Then the bitch RD told us that even though the alarm equipment might be broken in our room... we're still going to have documentation against us because "we should have heard it, it was very loud".

If I would have HEARD it, I would have woken up! Gahhhh... if I get put on probation for this... I will be PISSED off!

Sorry for jumping into your thread, AA. But I figured I could cheer ya up because you're not the only one having a **** day.

GIGGAS, that is BS. Maybe you could threaten legal action against the school for having a faulty alarm?

Well, I'm going to wait to see if they actually hand down any probation. Like I said, the RD is a bitch and she'll probably hand it down thinking we did it on purpose.

If it does, I'm appealing the hell out of it.

This is why I love OS so much.

Kudos to LetsGoBucs. He is shipping me a Core system so I'll be back up and running in no time.

            Thanks bro!

I think if you complain and explain everything you'll be fine.

Flashbacks to the asshats in my dorm my freshman year...for some reason they thought it'd be cool to keep pulling the fire alarm. We had like 8 false alarms in the span of a month, all at 3ish AM. In January. Needless to say we were all pissed they never caught the idiots.

Nothing wrong with that. I also had a 32" Olevia TV shipped to me.

No offense but that just isn't true at all... My roommate just had to send his in a couple weeks ago... Took 10 days on the dot.

It's happening to me, unless you don't believe me.

I'm talking about the initial phone call to MS to the 360 arriving at your doorstep.

I'm also sending mine from Wisconsin to Texas/Mexican border. That's 6 business days of travel.

Maybe it's not true in your roomates case, but it's true in my case.

Depends on what repairs are being done on the 360. Mine was a RRoD. They told me they are ripping mine apart and putting in all new parts, like the new heatsink, so, I don't need to send the 360 back in again.

Also, MS told me they didn't have any refurbished units in the repair center.

Previous to this repair,(I've had two others) my average was three weeks from the initial phone call. Maybe it depends on where you live as well.

I got lucky and just got a 360 refurb back in the mail. I told them, I would not buy Halo if I didnt get my 360 back before launch day...worth a shot.

I also got my HDTV through the mail.

                        I'm a maverick I guess.

Oh, and I slept through fire alarms all the time at Florida State. Who cares? I was wasted. They banned me from on campus living after I kicked a guys door in looking for porn at 3am.

                        It was good times.

Flashbacks to the asshats in my dorm my freshman year...for some reason they thought it'd be cool to keep pulling the fire alarm. We had like 8 false alarms in the span of a month, all at 3ish AM. In January. Needless to say we were all pissed they never caught the idiots.
I'm bitching and complaining to the RAs on my floor.

I need to talk to the bitch RD though.

Uh, I don't want to be put on disciplinary probation and a ****ing fine by sleeping through an alarm due to faulty equipment in my room. Especially since they enforce it so hard, that if you do anything while on probation for not going outside during an alarm, you get ****ing expelled. Yeah, that's what I'm here to do. Sleep through fire alarms and get kicked out of the university in which I've been a good persn and a decent student. Yeah.

How come some of you guys don't buy your systems from Best Buy?? I always buy consoles from them and purchase the 2 year product replacement plan. ANYTHING goes wrong with my system, I make a quick trip and bam I have a new system that day.

It is well worth the extra bucks to me. I don't have to wait at all.

Good for you...if only all of Best Buy's crappy (for lack of a MUCH stronger word) replacement plans worked the same way.

I'm STILL in limbo on my 50" Sony XBR1 that the service center won't replace the light engine on for the third time and Best Buy won't replace until it gets fixed a third time. A doesn't talk to B, I'm in the middle, and it's pissing me off as I've already sworn off Circuit City for corporate issues and have no where else to go.

I know a lot of you guys are leery of online, but Vanns is great! I bought a Mits DLP from them and it arrived within a week...from Montana to Illinois on the back of a semi. No damage, and the guy helped me lug it into the garage (supposed to be curb side dump off). No worries!

                                Oh, and sorry AA...that sucks.
