    Ghost Recon

Can anyone tell me how to play this game. I can't seem to get anywhere. Whenever I play, I get shot up, along with my squad from the enemy team, who always seems to be more invisible than I am to them.

I just got the game but I can't really enjoy being all shot up and not even complete in one mission. It seems extremely difficult, and I won't even bother with splinter cell, until I can learn to play this.

    Any advice, or tips.

The first missio is truly harder than the rest of the missions IMO. But to be safe, send out your Bravo team ahead of you and when they get into a fire fight , switch to them real quick. Look at the directon of the red arrows and see where the shots are being fired. They most likely will hold until you send them foward a gain. And also, use you zoom alot. Go about 10-20 yards and zoom and look around before moving. Stay behind rocks and trees and bushes. Keep doing that and you'll eventually spot someone.
I know, this board trained my eye for the next levels. After that, the rest was no sweat.

You make it sound so easy. I'll try everything you said, but can you tell me what is exactly what on the map. It's a bit confusing.

Here's a tip...read the whole mission dialong before starting the mission. Look at the map to the left and find out where the objectives are. In the first mission, you have to head over to the tents (it should be far EAST on the map. Then you head NORTHWEST up to the caves and get the prisoner. You then just have to return the the starting point for extraction. Pay close attention to your crosshair; when it lites up red, that's the direction inwhich the shots are coming from. Also, if u have surround sound USE IT. It's ur best friend in missons and especially online. The sound is amazing in this game. Also have u done the training mode?
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

I have done all of the training modes, but I think for a new guy I just stink right now at this. I haven't learned how to get in a position to hit the enemy without being lit up, and seeing where they are at the same time. I hope that sounds right.

Fair enough, but remember this isn't your typical FPS. It's more wait and see then run n' shoot. What I do it is, before I move out, I scope the area out for a good 15 seconds, then move out. Also, take advantage of your sniper. This is very important in the first level because most eniemies are really far away.

The second you hear a shot fired, drop down to your prone position where you're laying down. Then look around for the shooter. Alot of times run with your zoom on, it may make you feel like you're running slower but you are'nt. Another thing, drop down to a crouched position at all times when you're moving along. Only rise completely up when you are trying to sprint to a location without enemies near.

we need to get together and play so we can help each other. I missed the other nite because Mavs/Spurs were on locally...couldn't miss that!
