    Shooter games for PS2

I'm looking for a good shooter game for the PS2.
I really loved Black but I can't seem to find anything that's as good as it. I prefer FPS games but if it's a good shooter 3rd person would be fine. Any ideas?
I did played Battlefield 2, BHD: Team Sabre, Max Payne 2, The punisher and some WWII games.
Still haven't found that GOOD shooter that I can like.
    Thanks in advance!
    My Specs:

    ZX Spectrum
    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
    GPU: Monochrome display
    RAM: 48 KB
    OS: Sinclair BASIC

Time Splitter: Future Perfect? I got it just to play against and with my brother once in awhile and it was fun. You can download custom maps as well.

OK, I have Socom and it's nice but it's not on the same league as Black. As for Killzone it's an awesome game and I've already played it. I saw Time Splitters: Future Perfect but It looks kinda arcadish. I mean I prefer something real and TS has some weird shooting stages and I'm not sure if it's the kind of game I would like. It's hard to find a good FPS game for the PS2 because most decent FPS games are for the PC.

The original TimeSplitters game (released in 2000), while now fairly dated graphics-wise, is IMO the best multiplayer shooter game that I've ever played. It's single-player mode has interesting challenges but a very loosely tied together story, hurting it in that regard, but playing with four players and 12 bots on your own custom map in a four-team capture-the-flag match is as much fun as I've ever had in a shooter.

Actually I can't play online on my PS2 so I always play the single player. I wish F.E.A.R. was released on the PS2 - even with worse graphics.

TimeSplitters doesn't have an online function; we hooked up four controllers to the PS2 and just went at it from there.

Since Black wasn't a realistic kind of shooter there's a chance you might like some of the other games mentioned. For the money and how cheap the game can be gotten for New or Used... Time Splitters Future Perfect.

It has both a single player story that can be done co-op OR you have the "arcade" mode that has 16 different variants of Multi-player games. Not to mention that you can make your own maps with the map editor.

If you want Realism, you're really stuck to the Socom games.

Black wasn't realistic? It's far more realistic than any other FPS game I've played. I guess every1 has his own definition for realistic.
Socom was nice but I got bored after a few missions (Played Socom 3). Black is far more realistic than Socom IMO.

When the Vets here on OS are talking about "realistic" they are talking about the shooters like the Tom Clancy Games, Socom, etc... where it's the 1 to 2 bullets and your dead... Everything else falls into the "arcade" wagon where you can get hit many times, many ways, that you have shields, etc.

Don't think I'm dogging Black! It's a good game, but not "realistic" in the terms that the Vets here would think of as "realistic." That's why you've seen so many "Socom" responses.

You see what I'm getting at?

If u shoot them in the had they fall after 1 bullet. Nothing's more real than that.

Except for you being the bullet soaker and being able to walk out of it without a scratch. Like he said.....1 to 2 bullets and you are dead.

I was trying to say Your Character being killed in 1 to 2 shots.

In most shooters you'll kill people pretty fast while you're getting soaked in bullets. The Vets here consider that an Arcade Shooter... much like FEAR is considered an Arcade Shooter.

I wish we had some other games to recommend to you.
