360 RPG's
Wanted to know if anyone here played Enchanted Arms or any other RPG not Named Oblivion for the 360. I would like a RPG that could eat up some hours, but never got into the First person RPS like Two Worlds & Oblivion.

Re: 360 RPG's
I was enjoying Blue Dragon, but made the mistake of finally picking up Final Fantasy XII to complete my Final Fantasy collection, I've got them all now, except for Final Fantasy XI, but seeing it's an online RPG, I probably never will. It's been getting all my time now, but Blue Dragon is really good.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: 360 RPG's
I hate japanese rpg's so all I've played are Oblivion and Two Swords(terrible, terrible game). That Eternal Sonata game has the weirdest cover I've ever seen.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: 360 RPG's
Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon were both really disappointing to me. Both are pretty to look at, but the gameplay is really shallow. If you're into them like some people seem to be, you can waste a good 30+ hours on each though so you should give them a try.
Enchanted Arms has weak gameplay as well. The dialogue in this game is also excruciating and not just because of the voice acting. I wouldn't even bother unless you're really desperate.Comment

There will be a patch to fix some things. AFter playing longer the game is really deep with the magic and weapons. I really am liking it more.Joshua:

Yeah I don't know why I said Two Swords.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: 360 RPG's
The gameplay is not really any worse than your typical Japanese RPG, but it's nowhere near as good as the Shadow Hearts series, Tales of Symphonia, Shin Megami Tensei series, or FFXII.
Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata aren't bad games so they're worth trying. I just found them to be disappointing in how mediocre they were.Comment

Re: 360 RPG's
It's really boring and repetitive. You'll only have two skills at any time and each area typically has only one or two different monsters. If you're lucky, there might be three. So, basically you have your two skills to use against the same monsters 15+ times until you reach a new area and then you repeat. One thing it does do well is utilizing the guard button and making it a necessity. Attacks can take a big chunk of your health and it can feel good knowing that the only reason you're alive is because you timed your guards right.

Re: 360 RPG's
Well, I had the third game, but for whatever reason only played up until the first boss and never picked it up again (I must've been playing something...) and than traded it in towards something (I think my first 360 games after Oblivion).Comment
