But just like those games, they could release the DLC on a separate disk. Thats how I played TLAD+TBOGT and once UN is cheaper, ill pick that up too! Ill see if the major DLC they drop is significantly better than the campaign. If its more of the same, (god bless them for what they did) I cant get down for that.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Overall I enjoyed the game a lot...I am going to see if I want to spend more money depending on how they roll out DLC.
I am all for an extra game that's 20 bucks or so with two more "desks".
However, if they start asking 5 dollars for separate cases, I will not be spending the money.Comment

Knowing Rockstar, we'll get two desks for $15. I hope they stick to their traditional selves and do that.Overall I enjoyed the game a lot...I am going to see if I want to spend more money depending on how they roll out DLC.

That's what I think as well...They have a good opportunity to make a killing with DLC. It will be a huge mistake if they decide to put DLC out one case at a time.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
If they do that, I will not buy it and I doubt very many people will. Rockstar knows better and they are always out to please the fans. I doubt they take the EA route and charge for cases individual, then another $3 to unlock the ability to download the case once you buy it“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: side activities
I still don't see how side activities would add anything to this game other than exploring the city (which there are things to hunt that allow you to do this, anyway). The city sets up more of the atmosphere and, as such, is much more a backdrop than Liberty City. To be honest, I find all those side activities rather pointless and unless I'm gunning for 100% I rarely do them. Plus, after a couple times they get repetitive as hell and seem more like a chore and burden than actually allowing me to enjoy the game.
As for DLC, I keep seeing June 21st and an Arson case.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
It's doing better on the 360,in Britan at least...
L.A. Noire has sold 58% of its British copies on Xbox 360, as opposed to 42% on PS3, according to Chart Track. Although the sales figures are quite even -- moreso than Brink's 69% landslide -- it would seem that the addition of extra content on the PS3 version was not enough to give L.A. Noire an edge.
One would think that with a single Blu-ray disc compared to the Xbox 360's three, and the extra content, the numbers would at least be reversed in the PS3's favor. Apparently not.Comment

No you don't, also finding these cars are pissing me off. Not one guide I have found show the map and circle the area of which it could be in. They all have say the street and/or area and make you look at the map forever.
Like for example: Nash Deluxe 600 Army - location: southwest Hollywood near Hughes airplane company.
WTF!? Number one I don't know where Hughes airplane company is and I don't see southwest Hollywood on the map either.
I'm a cop, you think I could call dispatch and put a APB out on the car I'm search for.....-_-

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Trophy Shamus to the Stars' description is "Complete all story cases with a five star rating". I guess we have different opinions on what 100% means, but for me, getting 100% requires getting all the trophies...Last edited by Mabster; 05-23-2011, 06:06 PM.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
No, I appreciate games that differ from GTA. I knew someone would say that. All I'm saying is that you have a massive game world that goes to waste IMO because aside from the linear story line, you don't have any reason to go much of anywhere aside from just doing it to do it.
Just so I'm clear before everyone attacks me for my position, I really enjoy the game, I really do...I just think it's been overrated quite a bit here for what it really has to offer. Still, the play through I'm doing is fun...but a little less that I expected. These are my thoughts as well.
I'm having with the game, looking for clues, doing interrogations and such...but if I'm not doing any cases, there's nothing else left to do as I'm not really big on trying to drive/find every single car or go to every single landmark. If they would've added a few more things to do on the side, then I wouldn't have not one complaint about this game. Unless, this is how the 40s actually were and if that's the case then I understand completely LOL.In the 40's and 50's people did cruise around to have fun, so I guess it is realistic.
I am a fan of the game. I also liked Mafia II though, and that game was criticized like this game. Both have big beautiful cities, but they act as a backdrop and not really a part of the game like it does in GTA.
exactly. like Canes & Fresh said. the city is not there for you to explore in that fashion. its just backdrop/setting for the story and cases. the game is focused on the main story. thats it! for some, there will be some replayability. for most others it wont. it will be a one and done type thing.Re: side activities

i just dont understand why people would think less of game for what its not even trying to be. Team Bondi never said it was a GTA or RDR set in the 40's. The map is big so that parts of the story can take place in different areas of the city.
all im saying is that the game should take criticism for what it is, not what it isnt."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.yea but will they take psn cards

I thought you meant the achievement/trophy for actually 100% the game. Like what is required to get it. Misunderstanding. Lol.
