Its huge Eton. Not just because of the banning of games but mainly due to publishers continuing to price games at ludicrous levels over here. A brand new AAA title will retail for around $100 in stores. With the Australian dollar basically at parity with the US one its insane to buy games anywhere else but online.

Nah. I think Rockstar will make sure it stays an M-rated game the same way movie companies make sure their R-rated movies avoid X-ratings or whatever the really over the top movie rating is (blanking on it right now...).

NC-17 Rockstar is very careful to stay in the Mature rating after the "hot coffee" of GTA San Andreas.

I never got to try out the "hot coffee" scene

I couldn't imagine trying to play video games as a hobby over there if I didn't have an online source.

Yeah exactly. As a publisher, Rockstar will not allow the game to ship as an AO game. It is retail suicide for games, and this game was certainly not cheap to make.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. I mean, if they could release a DLC for GTA4 that featured full frontal nudity on a man, a woman should <s>be much better on my eyes</s> not be any worse.

Plus, she's dead, so it's more tragic than sexual.

Saw a trailer in my local Gamestop. I'm definitely getting this.

I feel like I want this game so badly, yet I don't really know too much about it, and haven't seen a gameplay video or anything.

Don't watch any footage or spoilers, then when you play the game you will get your mind blown. I can't really see any way in which this game could be anything other than amazing.

So... sorry if this has been addressed as I haven't really followed this thread or this game really but does anyone know if you are gonna have total freedom in this game. I read that its supposed to be open world and being that its rockstar im assuming that ill be able to do what I want when I want but can anyone confirm that it wont force you to stick to the story. Im talking multiple missions available at once, side missions, etc. I don't want to go around shooting everyone im just wondering if this is more story based or if you can make decisions that affect the game and such.

May 17 may end up being a very expensive day for me if this is really open world LA confidential like im hoping. But with Brink coming out on the same day... if this more objective-open world I guess you would call it, ill probably pass.

It seems like it is going to have open world elements. They are going for a much more serious tone though, so hopefully they will add some side stuff to do, that falls in line with that style.

I'd really like to just drive around and pull people over for random things (Running a stop sign or red light, someone who is obviously speeding), who knows though? They seem to be keeping a lot of info internal, I'm sure we will know before it is out though.

Some things you can glean from the trophies, I can't imagine being able to pull random people over for traffic violations being in the game and there not being a trophy for it (I'm assuming the 9 secret trophies are for each case).
