Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
The movie was called 'Hollywoodland' and starred Adrian Brody and Ben Affleck. It was fantastic and if this game evokes the time period in the same way then I'm going to lose months to it. I haven't been this excited for a new Rockstar game since GTA IV, and I absolutely loved Red Dead.these guys even innovated the age verification thing, wow rockstar, wow. lol. you guys are good.
edit- I also am curious if they will have something similar to the real life "superman" suicide/murder that took place in LA during that time. That would be pretty cool, Ive seen documentaries on it and I believe there is a movie based on it as well.Comment

Another good movie that this game is reminding me of is LA Confidential. The movie was called 'Hollywoodland' and starred Adrian Brody and Ben Affleck. It was fantastic and if this game evokes the time period in the same way then I'm going to lose months to it. I haven't been this excited for a new Rockstar game since GTA IV, and I absolutely loved Red Dead.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I believe so. Here is info that I came across from them (emphasis mine)."A Slip of the Tongue" is a bonus case from the Traffic Desk in which a seemingly run of the mill car theft ends up sparking an explosive investigation into the largest auto fraud racket the city has ever seen. With the stolen cars piling up and questionable characters at every turn, can you help Cole Phelps crack the biggest case so far in his career
This exclusive case is yours if you pre-order with Wal-Mart or purchase the game at launch on May 17th (while supplies last).A negative mind will never give you a positive life.

Seeing that video, and listening to that narrator takes me back to last summer when I was waiting for Red Dead to release.
I'm officially excited.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Bondgirl, no problem.
Fishepa, I saw too that in addition to the $10 future credit the have the Broderick Detective suit. From what I could conjure up it's supposed to be a suite that boosts your fist-fighting capabilities and resistance to damage. I really like the $10 future credit but not sure how I feel about the suit. I think I'm digging the bonus cases at this stage but the credit could definitely come in handy on a future release.A negative mind will never give you a positive life.
