Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I read some of the neogaf thread that was posted earlier. Seems the driving control is very much like Saints Row 2.
Take that for what it's worth.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

thats fine with me SPTO. Saints Row has very good controls for a Sandbox game. I wish Rockstar would copy it.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I just watched the third trailer and holy cow does this look good. FOr me this is the top of the food chain from what I want out of video games: an interactive movie/novel with fun gameplay AND a story that can run with the best summer blockbuster. I would love to see Rockstar make an open world super hero game using the talent's they are building from Red Dead and L.A.DON'T PANICComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Chubby, if you decide to turn the cues off, could you tell us if you think it plays into your overall "detective grade" at the end of the case. Meaning, I think you should get brownie points for solving a case with less help.
Also, do you think the cues and autosaving notebook make it too easy, or is it just right?
You really have to look for cues in order to get a good grip on what questions to ask. The more clues you find, the more questions/things you can bring up in interrogation. Plus if someone is lying you can prove it by confronting them with some evidence you found.
Is it too easy? I don't think so. I've only had one case so far out of 10 that I've gotten all the questions/clues right. You use the "A" or "X" key when examining scenes, so even without cues one could just walk around and spam the appropriate button if they wanted to.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
The driving isn't loose/floaty like it was with Mafia 2. The cars are pretty tight steering and responsive. While that may not be totally accurate for the times, it doesn't seem frustrating at all.
The biggest problem with driving is the same you'd run into with GTA Series. People don't get out the way quick enough.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Is there a speed limiter/cruise control type thing while driving? It might be boring, but I like to drive semi-responsibly in games like this, and I loved the speed limiter in Mafia II because it made that really easy. The driving isn't loose/floaty like it was with Mafia 2. No biggie if there isn't, I guess I'll just have to go half throttle the whole game or something.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
You could still download updates when PSN was down.Have both and getting it for 360. Disc swapping doesn't hurt me at all and exclusive content I don't really care about. Plus all my friends are getting it for 360 as well and I love the 360 controller better as well.
Probably would change my mind on the PS3 version if they had reliable online for me, I'm not talking about the hack. Even before that I always got disconnected and such and I could never download updates and DLC.
Sent from me, duh.
Monday is going to be a bitch to get through. At least today there's a lot of playoff games on.
I should probably check if there's a midnight release going on around here, but I doubt there is.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
