However lately, i've been on a gaming rampage, and it doesn't look to stop until my child is close to birth.
Last month, I picked up Skate, probably my favorite sports (if you can categorize it in sports) game in years. I played it nonstop until I beat it, and still play it when I can. I then picked up Halo 3 a few days after release, and what can you say about Halo that hasn't been said? Epic single player story, and utterly addicting multiplayer on Live. Can't wait to play the campaign on co-op with a couple of buddies now that I beat it on my own.
On top of that, just yesterday, I took advantage of TRU's buy 2 and get the 3rd free deal. Well, I picked up NBA2k8, which is the best basketball game I have ever played, bar none. I also got Bioshock, which is mad addicting. I took forever beating the first level just from exploring and admiring the game. Completely immersive. And then, I picked up All Pro Football, which has been a great suprise. I've played 3 or 4 REALLY close defensive battles on All-Pro now, and the game surpasses Madden in every area. I'm still screwing around with different rosters to get a team to my liking, but the game is a blast.
But it doesn't stop there. Come next month, after i've hopefully beat Bioshock and had more time with the 2k8's and Halo online, i'm dying to pick up Assassins Creed and Mass Effect. The recent previews for both games have me in awe, especially ME, which has rocketed up my most wanted list. Looks like the type of game that will completely immerse you into an awesome story and not let go. AC looks fantastic as well.
Just imagine if GTA4 had come out this October as well
