Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
Even though Call of Duty 4 just came out, what do you guys think (mulit-player wise) is the better/funner game? COD 4 or Halo 3? And your initial reasons why.71Call of Duty 40%52Halo 30%8Both are about the same0%3Undecided0%8Tags: None -
Re: Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
I prefer CoD4...I just like the pace of the game, and that it's not the "constantly jump while running" type Halo gameplay...I know Halo's not all like that, but it's just that style that I don't like as much.
I also really really like the classes in CoD4...it really lets you customize a guy and have positives and negatives to a buildout.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818 -
Re: Call of Duty vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
Two different animals.
COD is more of a realistic fun, while Halo is a I want to do a bunch of things fun.
I've really enjoyed all of Halo's gametypes (territories doesn't count). I'd have to play a few more of COD's before I make the judgment.
But with these two games, developers are gonna have a hard time trying to top them.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
I prefer CoD4's style of multiplayer. I've never been the biggest fan of deathmatch play, but when I played the CoD4 Beta I was really enjoying myself. I also enjoyed R6 when it came out. I was never able to really get into Halo multiplayer. I would enjoy it at times, but never to the point others do.
I've realized that I do not like the whole concept of weapon pick-ups and the fact that some weapons in Halo are just clearly more powerful then others, so the whole match basically becomes about who can reach the good weapon pick-ups first. I always wondered why my favorite Halo 2 playlist was SWAT. I now realize that I enjoyed SWAT because everyone started with the same weapon and it relied more on your skill to aim for your opponent's head than whether or not you had the rocket launcher or sword.
That is what I like about CoD4. No weapon pick-ups (unless you are playing that old school mode) and all the weapons are basically the same as far as giving you a chance to survice against any other weapon in the game if you are having a one-on-one encounter with an opponent.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
I am thinking COD 4 will be the surprise hit of the year and will be out other big titles like assassins creed and mass effect just because its multiplayer is AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I will be playing this title for a long time. I got it on PC so it will only grow with realism mods and suchComment

Re: Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
COD 4, but I have a lot of fun with both games.
I can't remember the last game where I sat at work and wish I was at home playing so much, with COD 4, so far that's how I have felt every day. I just can't get enough.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
COD 4...sold halo 3 last night to get it, I guess over the last few years I have grown out of the halo phase...still a solid game, I just don't get that "special" feeling with it any longer

Re: Call of Duty 4 vs. Halo 3 Multi-player
Thats one thing that is bothering me with Halo 3 already is I'm already getting tired of the maps and what not. There is nothing special with it. I want something different, different pace, different style, ect. Something that actually involves a little strategy as well. Do you guys see the replay-ability being deeper than Halo 3's which is already wearing thin?Comment
