    Crysis PC

Well, there's a game I won't be getting. After downloading the playable demo, whoa, I'll need to invest in a super computer to run this thing. Yikes! Buyer beware.

My computer is almost 2 years old, wasn't top of the line when I got it and I'm running the game at a solid 40 FPS with everything but shadows on medium, and a 1400x1050 resolution.

    What are you running Jim?

what are the main specs of your rig?

      ive got an 8800gts, 2 gigs of ram, and a pentium d @ 3.2ghz and i run at 1440x900 on a 19'' moniter.

i get a solid 30-40 fps, but in darker maps i get like 18 fps.

        AMD 3800x2 OC'ed to 2.3GHz. 2 GB of no-name ram, and a Saphire X1800.

I've done quite a bit of work "under the hood" optimizing my computer and the things I run. Quite happy with the performance I'm getting.

Getting about 28-30 fps on everything high + medium shadows (1280x1024). Not exactly the performance I would like but I can live with it for singleplayer.

I'm getting about 20-25 fps with everything at medium except texture and post processing which are at high, it's playable for the most part but it does not look near as good as half life 2 or COD 4 with those setting. But graphics are only skin deep, the game is very fun, definitely not run and gun, taking out a whole camp of enemies is very visceral and exciting. While I would love to play this game at the highest settings, it not worth the investment for 1 game, probably around $1000.

It's kind of strange that this game was made and most computers won't be a ble to play it for a year when the Tech catches up.

Well it's a shame....because the game is incredible.
I love the gameplay...the graphics are the best I've seen to date.
I haven't gotten too far into the game so far, but from what I've seen..TOP NOTCH.

The nanosuit technology adds a nice bit of strategy to the game instead of the straight run and gun kind of shooter.

                  Nice job by Crytek.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I agree, the openess of this game is so impressive even though the mission structure is linear, how you choose to execute the missions are limitless. Also being able to play it with a 360 controller makes it more fun for me, not much of a KBM guy.
