A little info from the new OXM

• 11 new weapons
• 11 total maps - including some classic levels from RS3:Raven Shield
• 2 new game modes
• New online-match search engine
• Ability to join games in progress
• Improved Terrorist Hunt mode: player respawns are available and terrorists will spawn more fairly
• You can invite your friends into ranked sessions online
• Smarter AI
• You play as a different character - you can play as male or female - customizable
• Every cutscene will be interactive
• The game is part sequel, part prequel
• Smoother framerate

Sounds good so far.

Will it be better then COD4 though? That is the question.

You can't really compare them at all IMO, R6 is much more of a thinkers small tactical swat type game whereas COD4 is more of a grand scale, very fast paced military shooter.

Is R6: Vegas FPS? I've never played R6, so I have no clue, but Vegas is intriguing me with the co-op and online modes.

Jean-Pascal Cambiotti: The gameplay mechanics are very similar since they worked extremely well on RSV. That said, we've done some improvements to the weapons mechanics, such as re-balancing the weapons and adding bullet penetration to the mix. No longer will a flimsy piece of drywall completely protect you from a high-powered rifle.

We also focused on enriching the overall story experience. So now there's a real sense of purpose for playing tactically. You customize and evolve your character in all game modes and you unlock new gear and weapons through a new rewards system that rewards you using your tactics. Lastly, you lead your team throughout new parts of Las Vegas to finally conclude the story.

That said, we do have some cool new features that improve on the planning phase. Your teammates play a bigger role in how you approach a hostile situation. They can provide you with intel that allows you to make the best tactical decision for the situation at hand. You also have more control over your team and can use them to perform new actions.

I picked it up last week.

Reading through the R6:V 2 updates, its nice to see a new multiplayer search and the ability to join sessions in progress. The set-up now sucks.

True, Fresh,.One thing that has bothered me in both The R6 and GRAW series since they went next gen was when you koin a game in progress, you can't watch it so I have to sit there for 10-15 minutes doing nothing.
