    Re: Scene It

I enjoyed the demo and I have been meaning to pick this up as a party game.

I have a question. I've been pondering this since I heard this game announced and it "claiming" to have HD movie clips. How can it contain "HD movie clips" if the game is on a DVD and DVD is not a high-def format?

My cousin works at Microsoft and he gave me this and Mass Effect for XMas. I must say that I'm pretty happy with the game. Me and some friends have been playing it the last couple days and its a blast to play. It's a lot funner than the boardgame IMO. We played it for about 3 hours last night and then party played for another 1/2 and I never saw one repeat question.

The movie clips aren't in HD.

DVD's can have high def material on them. The problem is that the disc is not big enough to hold alot of high def data, but it doesn't matter that the disc is DVD-9. Some of the movie clips look high-def to me, and other are not very good quality - more like upscaled content. Either way, this is a great game. Would love to see more games developed that take advantage of the buzzer controllers. I love using those.

I am pretty sure regular dvds cannot hold HD video footage and it is not a matter of storage space. They max out at 480i.

Either way, I was just asking because in the game's promotion I kept hearing about HD clips advertised and always found that iffy.
