Assassin's Creed or Uncharted?
Of the two games, which is a better overall experience? I want to play one of these now and then play the other game a bit down the road due to all these other games being out.Tags: None -

I have not played AC yet. But i can tell you that Drakes is a great game. A little to short but gameplay and story are great. It's like watching a freaking movie -

I would say Uncharted, AC was not happening for me. Glad I only rented that one, I bought Uncharted and I am happy with the purchase.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed or Uncharted?
I'm playing through both at the moment. Both are great games but very different.
I'd say you can't go wrong with Uncharted. It is pretty accesible and alot of fun. Gorgeous too.
Assassin's Creed can be a stellar game or a mediocre one, depends on the type of gamer you are. I am having a really great time with it, but I can easily see how others might not enjoy it as much over time.
Safe bet is Uncharted.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed or Uncharted?
I like both games but I would probably lean towards uncharted. The game is fun, has a solid story, audio is very good and the graphics are top notch.
Jigsaw whats your PSN name? I tried sending you a request to candymangt and it said that name isn't registered.Comment

I'd pick Uncharted. I just finished it and it was great. I have played about 4 hours of AC and it is good but there is just something fun about jumping and nearly missing a ledge that would kill you if you fall.XBL: Countach

Re: Assassin's Creed or Uncharted?
Thanks Rocky, I usually don't create these types of threads but with so many games out recently trying to choose one that is good is hard. It seems like everyone is leaning more towards Uncharted, it stinks that Assassin's Creed didn't turn out as expected. I read the TeamXbox review and the reviewer is playing the game for a second time and he is even more disappointed the second time around.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed or Uncharted?
I don't have Uncharted (don't have a PS3, so...) but AC is what you make of it, really. I'm not disappointed, because I didn't set some lofty, unattainable standard for it. I love it. I've heard that Uncharted is awesome as well, and if I had a PS3, I'd definitely pick it up, as I love games like that.
Being disappointed in AC is something I don't understand, however..."Don't ask what the world needs; ask what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs are people who are fully alive."Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed or Uncharted?
I'm currently playing both, and I'm of the opinion that AC is the better overall gaming experience.
I was actually disappointed with AC at first, but after my "I paid sixty bucks for this?" wrath wore off, I gave it another chance. It's been great ever since. I couldn't agree more with tealboy when he says it's the sort of game that's whatever you make of it. That is, when I just messed around and "played" it, I was disappointed, but when I started to take it very seriously - i.e., trying my very best to never incite guards, to fight with flawless precision, never die, only use the rooftops when I need to, etc. - it really has struck me as one of the better games I have ever played. (Room for improvement, yes, but nonetheless a great game.)
With Uncharted, I get more of a "casual gamer" sense. Sure it's fun, exciting, dramatic, action-packed, and so on; but in terms of the raw experience it brings to the table, it's little more than "go here; shoot these guys; go here; watch the movie; go here; shoot these guys; watch the movie." I'll admit to oversimplifying things a bit here, but, for me, that seems to be the gist of it. It's linear, there's no stealth, there's no real "exploring" ... it really seems to boil down to a shooter with a movie and some platforming thrown in. Still a very good game (especially technically), don't misunderstand, but it's just not quite deep enough for my tastes.
Overall, I'm happy I only rented Uncharted, and I'm happy I bought AC. That's my two cents.I am become death
Do not underestimate my apathy
