As far as tanks, everyone tries Rockets, but Satchel Charges are the way to go. Throw a charge on the ground right in front of the tank, wait for it to be under the tank, and trigger it - one satchel under the tank kills it. Makes it a lot better.
Overall, the maps are pretty good. Asylum and Cliffside are easily my favorites. I also like Airfield, Castle, Hanger, Makin, and Upheaval are all good maps. Seelow and Outskirts are both good tank maps. The only ones I don't like are Roundhouse, Downfall, Courtyard, and most especially Dome. Dome is the worst map ever on any video game.Comment

Found ways to combat both of these. A good part of the problems with the spawns are related to the squad thing again. You automatically spawn close to teammates, even if the other team is close. If you aren't in a squad, it does a lot better job at spawning.

On the tanks point, greatly appreciated. I will do that next time a game turns into a dumb tank fest.
As for the spawns, still doesn't change the fact the spawns suck. It was never an issue in COD 4 and it is really the only negative in this game. The spawns are busted. I have been shot in the back more in a few days of COD 5 than I did the whole year of COD 4.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 5: World at War (PS3/360)
They are going to fix the spawns. The devs said in interviews that the spawns will be tweaked past release date. That's what I love about COD, the beta test really helps keep cheaters at bay, and then they monitor people online and patch the game to fix whatever slipped through the cracks.
Imagine if Madden did this pre release online beta testing. The game could actually be solid online. The reason they don't is most likely to build hype because that is the only thing that sells Madden. COD is sold on the fact that once you play it, you MUST by it. This is why it is such a great game.Comment

what i find annoying is when you play the campaign on veteran, its nothing but a grenade fest. if i wanted that, I'll play online. other than the grenades, it's not really that hard.Comment
