Not that much different from NBA 2K8 having a quote from an IGN preview saying its the best simulation of NBA basketball while the review bashed it to a degree.

Except they didn't take it completely out of context if IGN actually said that.

So did Gamespot about Kane and Lynch, just not in a review, they said it in a preview. No idea where the 5 stars came from, that's a complete lie there since neither site uses stars. But for the line about the Michael Mann movie, Gamespot did use that. It's the same, taking it out of some context said on that site.

I shouldn't have said taken out of context but they picked the line out of a preview then passed it as a positive review for the game.

Honestly, that happens more than it does with reviews. I've seen it a lot where they use preview words from sites to promote their title. Just with the whole Eidos/Gamespot mess with this game, it's been blown up and in everyone's eyes more.
