I watched the 2 Cammy vids last posted to that channel and I can't believe all the Cannon Strikes they do. I'm not even talking about the Tiger Knee CS that he was doing to build meter - I mean how pretty much every normal jump forward ended with a CS. What is it that makes that move so good?

Creates ambiguous setups, where it looks like she's going to land in front of you but she's really crossing you up (and vice versa). Point blank TKCS are good because it puts Cammy in an airborne state so people mashing low attacks will whiff while Cammy gets a free combo. Also creates an insane pressure game where the opponent must block or tech. If you mash you die. Dive kicks in general are pretty damn good in this game.

Dictator and Dudley have the best offensive game in this game. Dictator is a pattern fighter along with Fei Long and a few others. ONce you get that pattern perfected, its just a matter of guessing right to counter it.
Its kinda boring playing fighters like that, but they force you to play a different style and learn new things, so i guess it's good in the end.Comment

GGs to Couple last night. Your boy Robinhood was scrubbin' it up, And he was still beating us.
Everytime he did a shoryuken and landed I'm like "no way he's doing it again" and he did. There was one match where he did like 5 in a row.

Heh..I disagree. You can say that about any character. Every character has bread and butter combos, and things they almost always go to. If you guess wrong you die.

Dictator imo, has the best offensive game out there. At least when i play against that character.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
I think we're thinking of rushdown differently then.
Imo Blanka and Sakura aren't really rushdown characters, it's just a matter of knowing the matchup. They are considered low tier for a reason. They can't get in and STAY in, because if you guess right you can begin to mount an offense.
Blanka's game consists of shenanigans, once you learn them he becomes very sucky. Almost every character can punish his blanka ball on block AND hit. Sakura..I wouldn't really call her a rushdown character either, you just have to know her mixups. If you don't you'll be stunned after 2 wrong guesses, and if your stunned in a match it usually means you've already lost.
Most effective rushdown characters imo: Bison, Viper, Fei, Rufus, Cammy, Cody. All of these characters can put insane pressure on you while being relatively safe. Fei is the only one who doesn't really have safe options, as his Rekkas have to be done at a specific range to be safe.
I posted this earlier in the thread but the biggest problem people have with rushdown is blocking. People start to get ansy and start mashing trying to get out of block/hit strings and it just leads to bigger damage. Best thing I can tell anyone having problems with rushdown is to learn to block, learn to tech(without mashing) and learn how to punish accordingly. I think I've played almost everyone in this thread with Fei, and I've never been punished after a blocked rekka (which is punishable).
While on mashing..y'all seriously have to stop (yes I'm looking at you ne0).
Only ppl on OS who don't really mash are 3rdAnswer and thai.Last edited by eDotd; 05-28-2010, 04:36 PM.

Yea GG's. I was switching off with my brother and hes not that good so thats why I seemed so scrubby. As for Robinhood, I swear he just throws out random **** and seems to hit it all the time. I get so pissed when he beats me because I know I'm better than him. And when I was spectating and he beat you, I was like wtf... you killed me and then lose to him? haha.Comment
