I apologize if this was posted already, but some dude at the SRK forums made 8-bit Mega Man-inspired sprites of every character from SSFIV. Here is the link:

But yea, you were blocking and teching a lot better than I remember. I'm sure you noticed the difference when you block rather than panic and mash to try to get your self out of the corner. It used to be when I got you in the corner the match was over but because you were reacting to what I was doing and blocking, not panicking, mashing, or throwing out random ultras to get you out of the corner, you were able to react and deal with the rush down effectively and get your self out of some bad situations.
Also those Ryu/Sim matches were great. Good stuff.

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
1. jump attack then throw.
2. jump attack, hit, then throw.
3. Jump attack, hit, hit, throw.
4. cross up. then cross up goes back to 1,2,3.
Just be ready for that.. oh ya, the 5th is just back off. Now, all of this is while you are blocking, if you get hit, then its combo city on you.
I am sure there may be more, but them are the ones that will make the corner game deadly if your in it.Comment

Alright, starting to play again. And I'm finding that I've reverted back to relying on the lariat way too much. Must break that habit!Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
So, with SSFIV arcade, this image has surfaced.
Two new places right? Ono is supposed to announce it tomorrow at 3pm EST.
However, a leaked comicon list says that the two characters are Alex and Rolento, while there are 7 new people in total.
On the PSN arcade list, there have been 4 3rd strike avatars, and 3 SFA3 avatars within the past two weeks that have popped up.
Those chars are Hugo, Alex, Q, Elena, R.Mika, Rolento, and Nash(Charlie). Interesting to see if this leak list is as accurate as the SSFIV list.Comment

• Ono said the blank character slots for SSF4 arcade won't be revealed until the Tokyo Game Show in September.
• New alternative costumes in the works for Super Street Fighter 4. Available in the fall, based on past designs. Everyone gets a new costume.

Hopefully not Nash.
I'd like to see Yun/Yang(divekick!) personally, but I also think Urien is a great fit. Animation wise, Seth has borrowed from him, but they play totally differently, and Urien will be very interesting in a world without a parry.
Example: Say I'm playing a character with good, long zoning pokes. My opponent Focus fishes for the poke and I react with an EX Armor Breaker. I didn't actually "react" quickly, but rather anticipated the set up. This is an obvious example, but you can apply it to all situtations--anti airs, projectiles, combo strings and even tick throws.
The key is to gear your training to have you recognize those situations, be able to engineer those outcomes in your favor and "react" accordingly.
The other thing you can do for your reaction time--and this is gonna sound weird--stare at the game as it played out. Really, really focus. We tend to work on normal perception. The same perception that we use to text message, to cross the street, to order our food. But you can access a higher perception if you force yourself to do it. Just zone up, stare at the game and really make an effort to see the frames you normally overlook. Sounds new-agey, but it works.
I'm a fairly crappy 1st person online shooter player, but I find that after a very long time playing one of two things will happen: 1) I get tired of playing and have to go back to being an adult 2)I go into "frenzy mode". Rather than just running around and looking at door ways and popular areas, my entire play through becomes a sequence of eliminating opportunities for my opponent's success. In this mode, my perception is heightened, and I'm really trying to see each of the frames of the action as it is happening.
The important thing is to note that we normally are not in the habit of even asking our brains to go into this mode. So the most important part of getting there is the attempt. The more you get there, the easier it is to recognize that state and achieve it again.Comment
