Gamefly opens new distribution center in Tampa, FL

    Got this email:

Starting this week, you may notice that the return address on your GameFly mailer will be Tampa, FL. We're pleased to open this new Tampa Shipping Center as part of our continued effort to improve mailing times for GameFly members across the entire United States.

Your area will be supported by this new Shipping Center. Depending on inventory availability, you may continue to receive some shipments out of Los Angeles or Pittsburgh. We expect your shipping times to improve over the next few months.

Too bad I cancelled them. I got tired of waiting for my games to come from California to Georgia. Might give them a shot sometime next year though.

They also have one in Pittsburgh.

Too bad they never opened that one in Chicago that was rumored.

Yeah, that Chicago one would have been gold. We have a dist center here in Chicago for Netflix and the movies come lightning fast.

That's how it is here with Netflix. I heard there's a center 45 min from where I'm at.

I'd give gamefly a shot. Right now I use Hollywood Video. They are 20 bucks a month and I can walk in at anytime and swap. So far, their selection has been great.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Yes that would have been gold. We would have the best online rental hookup. Your list of played games would probably be maxing out what is out on the Xbox right now.

But instead FL has now since they have a Netflix and GF there.

I can't remember where I read it, but rumor has it that Netflix might get into the game rental arena. This could be something good.

I would look into that. Their service with movie rentals is A+.

Yeah, they have one in Pittsburgh. But unfortunately, every game I was shipped, came from California.

Never tried GameFly. How many centers do they have anyway? Netflix has a center here in Vegas and the turnaround is just great.

                        I would definitely switch.

Netflix needs to offer a better pre-owned inventory and a GF-esque "Keep It" option for me to switch to them for a future game division.

Yessir. With Netflix, I've had movies come from Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. Netflix owns every online rental service, of any sort, hands down.
