    Online Poker

Is there a good game to get for the PC for online poker? My wife just got a lap top and we're looking to be able to play against each other now PC vs. Laptop in some games with other people online. Doesn't need to have spectacular graphics since we like the 360 arcade version just fine, we just want to be able to play against each other while playing against other folks online.

If not an actual game, then anyone know of a site that would be good for that if you don't plan on actually gambling?

    Thanks in advance.

Every major site lets you play for free with play chips, there is no need to purchase software. Full Tilt or Pokerstars would be my recommendation.

Cool, thanks. Do they let you create private games and stuff when you're not playing for money, and do you need a Credit Card to sign up?

My other worry with that, is that since we're running off the same internet account I wasn't sure if they'd let multiple people be going off the same account online since some people obviously would be using that to have an advantage over other people at the tables.

*nevermind - apparently I was mistaken. I thought it was illegal to play for money in the US online... Now I'm just confused.

What you're probably thinking of is the law that got passed about a year ago. It only made it illegal for a bank or financial institution to transfer money to an online gambling site.

I should mention that some states do have laws that make it illegal to play poker for money online.

To the OP, you don't need a credit card to sign up. Just create an account and go have fun. The two of you won't have any issues playing together as long as you stay in the play money area. Now if you were to move to real money, they might start tracking you and depending on what happens, could eventually crack down on you for collusion. Better you just stay on the play money tables and don't risk it imo.

Yeah it won't be a problem as long as each player has their own account. I've even played some donk and gos with my roommate before from our dorm.
