Plus, I think that some of the TimeSplitters team is on this project if I can remember.

          Haze Targeted

Although Haze -- a first-person shooter from Ubisoft and Free Radical Design -- is set in 2048, you won't have to wait that long to get your hands on it.

Haze is coming this May exclusively to the PlayStation 3.

In an early morning announcement, Ubisoft said today that the much-anticipated title will arrive in just four months with a Mature rating. Haze casts you as a brand new soldier in a private military corp. -- in this bleak future, the government outsources fighting wars -- and sets you and your plethora of cutting edge weapons up against the rebels known as the Promise Hand.

Yeah, Gamestop has a 05/21 release date now.

Wasn't this game originally slated for August?

UBI is doing the same thing they did with AssCreed. They will not confirm exclusitivity, only that it's being developed on the PS3 only right now.

Ubisoft confirms that only the PS3 version of futuristic FPS is currently in development, no plans to bring it to any other platforms.

Today, Ubisoft amended its statement, saying that currently only the PS3 version of Free Radical's shooter is in development. The France-based publisher also noted that it was still leaving the door open in the future for "new partnerships," but currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, "The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."
Dille also used Haze as an example of Sony's timed exclusives in 08, so I'd be surprised if we don't this on the 360 about 6 months after the PS3 version. Either way it looks like crap currently...needs polish, badly.

                    New Previews and videos

                    GameSpy: Hands-On

Haze finally settled into the GameSpy/IGN offices, giving us an exclusive first look at the game's single-player and co-op gameplay. Haze switches you from the perspective of an elite sci-fi trooper to an earthy rebel, and we got to spend some times on both sides of their war for this preview. In addition, we played through a few missions of Haze's campaign using the four-player co-op feature. There's no doubt that Free Radical, the creators of the underrated Second Sight and consistently excellent TimeSplitters games have a solid shooter in Haze, but our play time did leave us with some concerns.

                      Re: Haze delayed until March

Geez Gamespot didn't have much to say about their hands on.

Haze's graphics still look a bit rough, especially the particle effects spraying out under vehicles. The game's environments appear detailed, although some of the indoor environments are a bit on the bland side. Haze's artificial intelligence was generally pretty good and enemies didn't waste time firing lead at you, although teammates occasionally did weird things and didn't always follow our lead. On occasion the physics were also a problem, and caused vehicles to become stuck in precarious situations which were hard to get out of. We also found that the game's collision detection didn't always work, with AI-controlled soldiers standing inside solid objects at times.
