I agree, this is one that I'm planning on getting. When the game first came out they made it seem like it would be more than of this type of DLC. Then we find out that this the only (and last) story focused single-player DLC.

It is a very good game. You might want to wikipedia the story of the original, but it is not necessary to enjoy this one.Comment

Re: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams
Maybe some advice... I keep dying a lot. For instance I am at the part where you guard a little sister while she extracts adam for the first time. The things are attacking and I cant stay alive. what weapons should I be using? I so far have the electro shock, the move things with your mind and thats it. I have a rivet gun and the machine gun with no bullets. I have died a lot. Just killing the first big daddy I died like 5 times, I thnk I am playing the game wrong or something. This part is really bad because I cant restart in the middle when I die. she has to keep starting over. Maybe you guys can gove me some pointers?Comment

Re: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams
I always had my mine slot (forget the actual name, but the things you place on the ground for the enemies to trip and explode) maxed out. I would then locate a body, set those mines around and then let the little sister go do her job. I also would use the bee swarm power because they go looking for enemies. Also those cyclone traps are good too.

I broke out the blizzard plasmid, trap bolts, and drill for guarding the little sister. The drill puts in mother****ing work.Comment

Re: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams
After I went back and played a 2nd time on hard, my best strategy was to upgrade the 'insect swarm' and 'security camera' plasmids. As mentioned previously the insect swarm will go from enemy to enemy and keep them occupied while you clean them up. Once you upgrade the security camera plasmid you can summon your own security bots. As far as my weapons I just place trap rivets around the body and entry points.
hmm, I will look out for the swarm upgrade. right now I just got off that train and am trying to get adam so I can get the flame plasmid so I can melt the ice. I dont think its an option for me to get the bee swarm thing.
My main issue is that I am low on ammo, have no health upgrades or med packs and I have to guard this little sister so its like I am stuck until I can kill all of the people without dying at all.Comment

Re: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams
Early on you will take your lumps until you get some upgrades. I just stuck with the basic electrocute, then melee combo. Don't be afraid to let the little sister take some abuse if she gets swarmed, she won't die, she just stops gathering Adam until you clear the people away from her.Comment

Re: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams
Has anyone played the Minerva's Den DLC yet. I'm thinking about getting it, but want to make sure it's worth it. I wasn't willing to shell out 10 dollars for the multiplayer crap, but this I might be willing to buy if it's good.Last edited by CC; 09-03-2010, 12:48 PM.Comment

Re: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams
I'm trying to get to this before Halo comes out, still trying to work through the Alan Wake DLC. About how long did it take you?...I'm a scavenger in BioShock I search every nook and cranny looking for ammo/easter eggs/audio logsComment
