COD4..ps3 or 360?
I have it for my 360 and want to see if its better in regards to graphics/servers/people online with the ps3 version. My blockbuster is the closest rental store in 35 mins and they told me the copy they have has not been returned in 45 days so before I buy it I figured I would ask all of you. Have you played both versions? if PS3 is better I'll sell my 360 version towards the purchase of it. ThanksTags: None -

Re: COD4..ps3 or 360?
I was just about to post the same question. My friend has PS3 only and I always have been getting the 360 version of the games. This time for COD I was thinking of getting the PS3 one so we can play online together. If there are not that many differences then I may pickup the PS3 copy. Just want a little input from people who know about both versions. Thanks!!!Comment

Re: COD4..ps3 or 360?
I actually have both, well my son has the 360 version. I had the 360 version up until last week when I sent the 360 packing with it's problems. My son & I felt the PS3 version was slightly graphically better. The controller on the PS3 is extremly sensitive when moving/aiming which is not a bad thing. I have not had any problems online up until last night. No lag/connection concerns at all on PS3. Both systems are really good for COD4 but small slight edge for PS3 from me. Peace!!!Last edited by Flightwhite24; 01-23-2008, 07:30 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: COD4..ps3 or 360?
You can't go wrong with either version. The differences are so small that most probably wouldn't even notice.
Eurogamer: Face-Off
The great news is that both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners get to experience the same superb gameplay with no compromises, the two versions essentially being completely interchangeable. Sure, there are a few minor variations here and there, if you can stop playing long enough to sit down, put both versions side-by-side and compare them carefully. There's the occasional better-looking texture on 360, offset by some more accomplished effects (like the rain in the cargo ship mission) and less blocky shadows on the PlayStation 3 rendition of the game. Of slightly more consequence is that the loading times on the PS3 game are noticeably longer: anything from 10 to 15 seconds longer compared to the same data being streamed in on Xbox 360.
Both versions are also operating at a sub-HD resolution - 1024x600 to be precise - but the scaling up to both 720p and indeed 1080p looks decent enough thanks to anti-aliasing being present on the base image. Certainly, frame-rate is not an issue; both games run (for the most part) at a smooth 60fps, and I for one would take that arcade-like precision and crispness of response over a boost in resolution any day.
Miniscule differences aside, the point is that the core experience and all the things that make this game great are identical on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with only the lure of Achievements potentially offering further replay value for owners of the Microsoft console if you are that way inclined.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: COD4..ps3 or 360?
It basically comes down to your controller preference. I like the 360 controllers better for shooters. The 360 trigger buttons are perfect for these types of games.Comment
