I think they do sales for the big holiday(s). I'm having a really hard time remembering but for either Thanksgiving or Christmas or maybe both Starcraft was 1/2 off and they had a package set up so you could buy All of WoW + the Latest Expac for $60. So it will happen you'll just have to wait a little bit of time



I'm sorry to say this and I hope it doesn't come across as jerky or offense... and I'm no apologist for blizzard but you're really the minority here. If you watch developer interviews you'll see a lot of instances where they say the game is a co-op multiplayer game first and foremost. Starcraft 2 does have an offline mode but comparing Starcraft and Diablo is apples to oranges.

As far as your game not installing correctly that's really a bummer. There's been a lot of complaints with installer errors. Hell, it told me to insert "disk 2" or something like that when I did digital download. Blizzard really dropped the ball with the launch of this game, unfortunately I think their motto is no one remembers a bad launch but they will remember a great game.

I agree with you...Blizzard doesn't want to invest in enough to make their systems stable for launch, but figure that in a month when it calms down they'll have tons of money and people will forget. I hope not though, I'd like companies to be held responsible for this. I get why they require online only, but then they should keep their servers working if it's required.

How do you dual wield? I know you can have two equipped, so does that mean when I use hungering arrow I'm doing double damage? I'm a little confused by this concept lol

I almost went duel wield last not but have a weird thing about not carrying a sheild lol

May try a while tonight.. Can't wait to get home and really get into it.

I started as a Barbarian... Keep wondering if I should have started with the Witch Doctor etc... but I always seem to go the brute force way when I start up.

You assume it's a lack of investment, it's not, it's simply that on launch day there will be bugs just like any other new game. Especially when you have 2 million people attempting to log-in at once.

With that being said it would have made much more sense to have staggered the times.

Perhaps, but this stuff happened with WoW's Cataclysm launch as well. It makes perfect technical sense to me. If I were Blizzard I'd suck it up for a few nasty days and then things would settle down. Why pay all that money for infrastructure that's only necessary for a few days? I'm sure they have a beefy infrastructure, just not one that can handle a big release.

Of any company out there I'd expect Blizzard to be able to handle the launch of what they call a "multi player online game"...

It'll all clear up eventually, but I just feel bad for all those who want to play and keep getting kicked off.

Well, the animation shows each crossbow going off every other shot, so I'd assume that means the effect rotates every other shot. For me, one is fire and the other ice, so I'd assume that means I do the fire damage with one shot, and ice with the next, and so on. They don't seem to both fire at the same time, but there is an attacks per second bonus (a few tenths of a second) for equipping two of them.

Plus it just looks badass.

Agree... And for the record my disk install went fine even with going out and getting the updates etc...

I'm curious about people's impressions since I don't have the game.

Is it better than Diablo II? Is it as addicting? Do the mediocre graphics ruin the experience?

Today's experience was online. The real problem is finding enough time to play it. Only Level 10 Wizard. Love the abilities I am earning though. Grouping with friends is the way to go but the two friends I've been playing with are way higher than I am and joining them makes me feel a) weak as hell and b) like I'm missing the game.

Might have to just take a day to reach them and then join in. Loving it so far.

Loot, I found one of them in a boss fight and was given the other one - mikenoob got a nice rare drop he couldn't use.

I agree hand crossbows are tough to find, even regular ones. I got pretty lucky to find one while using my Demon Hunter.
