I am looking to get a good horse racing game for ps3/ps2, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good games. So could you please post your favorite horse racing games on here. Thanks

I know you asked about console-but-if you have even a basically decent PC- try "Starters orders 2" it's a downloadable game and WILL challenge you. ADDED NOTE: just type startersorders.com and it will bring you to the homepage. It does have a free downloadable demo-it's worth a try-there are hundreds of races and horses/riders/trainers inclduded in the full version.

that's pretty much the only horse racing game on any console. I had it before I got rid of my ps2, and it's pretty deep in addition to being horse racing game.

Gallop Racer 2006 for the PS2 was great. Gallop Racer 2001 for the PS2 was great as well (both can still be found online - ebay, amazon). Both have very deep racing and breeding engines. I agree about starters orders 2 as well. It has a ton of real horses, tracks, trainers, and races.
