SOME truth to that. But technically GTA4 IS better due to draw distances,water effects,lighting and surface textures.

I've played BOTH the 360 version and ps3 version and to be very objective the ps3 version of gta4 is in some ways photrealistic wheras the 360 version looks much more plain. so i can see where your opinion stems from being as your basing it off the 360 version which is where your comment holds the most merit, wheras in the ps3 version it kinda doesn't due to the fact that the ps3 versions textures etc are MUCH MUCH better than the 360's

I've seen GTA on the ps3 and it is not photorealistic. It has nice graphics at times but nowhere near what Mass Effect has. Of course they are doing two different things in terms of graphics but I like Mass Effect's graphics much more than GTA's.

I owned both, they look identical. 360 version is a little brighter, PS3 had less pop up. Other than that, identical. Don't kid yourself thinking one looks better than the other, as they don't.

I was 10 hours into the PS3 version, so I saw plenty of the game before returning it for the 360 version.

I played the 360 version through component and hdmi and the ps3 through component and hdmi and the conclusion was that the textures and lighting are MUCH better on the ps3 version in 720p. the 360 version looked much less detailed.

In contrary the ps3 version has the more more pop in while the 360 does not. the 360 version IS smoother in terms of gameplay and tigher in it's control on the 360 but the ps3 version when played though the same hdmi and componets lok much better than the 360 version to me and this is after like a/bin the darn things for about a week because i was REALLY into seeing which version I'd be FIRST playing. i have no doubt I'll be picking up the 360 version after playing through the ps3 version just because of the downloadbale stuff,but right now it's the superior version.


back to ME personally the game for me was ok but not great GTA4 ain't THAT amazing either but it has a character within itself that is uncomparable to ME.

To me? it's no contest and probably a very bad comparison between two very different games. It's almost like saying which is better "NCAA Football 08 OR NHL 08?"
