Re: Rock Band 2
FYI for all the Wii RB2 users and the Pepsi promotion. Even if your song that you want is listed available as a DLC but not in the free songs promotion, you don't have to worry. No matter what song you choose, the code just gives you 200 Wii store points to use on anything. Heck, you don't even need to buy a RB song. Just stock up on points to get a Virtual Console game or something.
I registered for Message in a Bottle on the website and ended up downloading AAF's Smooth Criminal, even though the latter wasn't even on the free-songs list on the site.Comment

I just took out the Steel Bladder achievement.
I'm hurting so bad. I have no clue how I beat Visions and Panic Attack after 6 hours of playing.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Rock Band 2
Right now I am so irritated hard is really kicking my ***, I haven't been this frustrated over a game in a while. Songs that were so simple on Med are now extremely difficult.
I mean I can still pull of 90% on some of the songs but its something that I have to work for.
Do you guys know any good songs that I can practice on? My biggest problem is moving my hand in order to to hit that orange button.
Especially when the song will anchor the green button then quickly switch to anchoring orange then switch back to green. I'm constantly losing track of where my fingers.Comment

I learned to play Hard and Expert on the guitar hero games, but the advice is the same. Just give it time and you'll get it.Right now I am so irritated hard is really kicking my ***, I haven't been this frustrated over a game in a while. Songs that were so simple on Med are now extremely difficult.

It's hard because you get used to the one color, one finger mentality in Medium. Abandon Medium difficulty forever and don't look back at it.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
That is some great advice right there and most assuredly the only real way to go about it in the long run. There are still a handful of songs I cannot play on expert and some that give me a headache on hard, but once you start playing strictly hard and expert it will come naturally.
A great song to play on expert for someone who just leveled up is Roxanne by The Police. It was my first FC on expert and has gotten so easy to me. Give it a try!Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
I'm with BK on this one...you can't go back to medium at any point if you ever want to get used to the orange button...even for a warmup. You have to get used to hand shifting, and the only way to do it is to play (repeatedly) on hard and expert. Pretty soon, you'll be doing it like a pro.
Also, trying going into practice mode and slowing down the tricky stuff...pretty soon you'll get it. I remember playing Sweet Child O Mine on GH2 (hard) seemed impossible at first. Now I can breeze through it on expert without missing a note pretty much every time. It's just all about repetition.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Rock Band 2
Thanks guys instead of playing on guitar I just started to play on bass because its a little bit easier. I figure that by doing this I can still get some time working on my skills but avoid some frustration at the same time.
Is this is a good way to prepare for guitar or should I just keep playing on guitar until I can get it?Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
This is definitely a good idea. You'll get used to the hand shifting without having to deal with the fast chord changes too much, since most of the bass stuff is single note. Once you get comfortable with that, then you can go back to guitar. The most important part is just getting used to using the orange button. Eventually, it's no big deal, but it's definitely a struggle at first. Thanks guys instead of playing on guitar I just started to play on bass because its a little bit easier. Nice job to those that completed the steel bladder challenge. I don't ever plan on touching it. I'd have to do it singing and my voice would be shot after the first 3-4 hours. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment
