The Official MGS 4 Thread that contains spoilers.
I just wanted to make a thread so we can talk about parts of the game with out ruining it for anyone. Ill start first nothing in video game history was cooler than when you went back to Shadow Moses .... its been 10 years since MGS 1 came out and it really felt like it when you go back.... I think that was one of the most brilliant game designs in video game historyTags: None -

The ending....
The credits roll....Big Boss's name scrolls into view.
Me: "Say what? I didn't hear BB once in the whole game..."
*Credits freeze at Big Boss and the screen wipes back to the graveyard for the most important part of the ending*
Me: "Oh Hideo, you little bastard..."
Oh, and I'll be man enough to admit it....I cried for Raiden and Rose.Comment

I gotta say though, I did not like the Big Boss sequence after the fake cast credits. I felt like the original ending of having Snake kill himself to be much more effective and a better conclusion to this series.
I also had some issues with some of the cheesier scenes/cinematics from Act 5 and the ending. The Meryl/Johnny "proposal" scene I found pretty damn silly. The Raiden return with the sword in his mouth I found unnecessary. If he was supposed to come back, Hideo should have only made him lose one arm, because watching him there, holding a katana with his teeth was just funny. In fact, I would have preferred he would have died at the dock saving Snake. And while I am nitpicking, having Raiden stop what must have been a 200 ton ship was pretty far fetched even in MGS's far-fetched universe.
Ok, enough complainingThe game overall was very good.

My favorite part in Shadow Moses was the area where you first see the surveillance camera in MGS1. The same scene happens in MGS4, only the camera falls and cracks on the ground...Comment
