I have not played a computer game hardcore since Diablo 2. Is anyone else excited for this?!

PLEASE let this be true...

Diablo was the game that got me into video games. Sure, I'd played video games before, but Diablo blew me away, and I'm STILL looking for something to be even HALF as good.

Diablo 2 was just like crack. Once you started playing, you couldn't stop. Then, it'd get boring, you'd quit, then you'd have a renewed interest, and wham, you're re-addicted.

Yeesh, Activision-Blizzard would just be makin it rain all day long if Diablo 3 comes out

WoW is going to be a cash-cow ad infinitum
Starcraft 2 will sell like hotcakes

While I think Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 will be good, it's just been sooooooo long since the last versions that it makes concerned that they'll lose the soul of the series...You just never know how going into "Next Gen" will affect a classic gaming franchise.

Yeah I see what your saying. An example of that is if they make Diablo 3 a MMO. I don't think they should do that, you know offer a verity (WOW being the MMO). I think if they do that and charge a monthly fee it will turn off alot of players who would of wanted a 8-16 player game, which worked great for the game.

have you seen the gameplay videos of Starcraft 2? Doesn't appear to have lost any soul.

Starcraft 2 will crush all...Its the reason I upgraded my cpu and I don't regret it one bit.

As for Diablo...Diablo 2 took a whole summer away from me, the summer of '99 I believe, when it was released. A great, great game that is still fun today. I just hope it doesn't go w/ the first person perspective, Diablo needs to be 2.5d.

I haven't played a computer game since Diablo II about 5 years ago and this would probably be the only computer game I coudl see myself buying. This game will be gold!

only if it was a return to Warcraft II. I didn't care much for the direction Warcraft III went.
