I've had my eye on this since it was announced. Especially after Marvel Universe was canceled. Man, this and Batman AA 2 within a month of each other... wow. I'll be in comic book gaming heaven.

    Step it up Marvel.

I would prefer this to be marvel but, I already have ultimate alliance 1 & 2 so i may need to get a PS3 in order to play this game.
      Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

Here's the official trailer for E-3

DC Universe Online, a joint video game from Daybreak Game Company, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC comics is an action-packed, physics based MMO game for the PLAYSTATION®3 and PC gaming consoles. Set in the DC Universe and with the help of legendary Jim Lee, players can become heroes or villains and fight alongside Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern against villains like Hush, Joker, Catwoman, Bane, Doomsday, Brainiac and more.

Looks good so far and can't wait. I actually want to create a new Green Lantern kind of guy and join the Corps

yeah that's what I was going to do too. Hopefully we can make a character like that. I was going to do a GL or a Legion character.

Trust me, playing an MMO.. you're way better off playing on PC, Unless your PC is not up to current standards.

That article makes it sound like a one time fee. According to this article from Joystiq it's a 15 dollar MONTHLY fee. 60 bucks for the game and 15 bucks a month? Sorry..can't justify that. Even if it's a one time fee I'm going to wait for reviews on this one.

This won't fly with console gamers and this officially makes it not a buy for me no matter how good the game is.

                    Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)

Two worries with the game overall and 1 on the PS3.

                    - How big will the PS3 community be?

                    - Heard some negatives about combat in the previews.

                    - $15 is a nice chunk of money. I've been hyped for this game for a long time but I expect tons of DC story content to be dropping each month for $15.

$15 is the standard monthly fee used by MMOs. That's not to say you won't get free things from time to time.

So you're saying that expecting new stories/missions each month isn't likely to happen?

Not very likely, but I wouldn't put it past them to put out free content (missions, costumes) every once in a while. Cryptic did it with Champions Online. They added a Celestial Power set a few months after release and a new expansion earlier this year. But they also released costume pieces you pay for.

This would be my first MMO game so any information you can pass along would be helpful. Reason I'm interested in the game is because of the DC world. Would you say this game will be based on repeating the same missions over and over once you reach a high level point?

                                Thanks again!
