 Re: Borderlands

Cool thanks for the reply. This game is starting to get my interest. I need a game like this in my rotation. All I have in my current game rotation is basically shooters . Gears of War 1+2, Modern Warfare 2, Red Dead Redemption, and a bit of Call of Duty 4. I need a great single player/ co-op game where I can just sit back and relax. Hmmm... . I also heard it had 1v1 Cage matches? Is this true? Also, how big are the TDM and FFA games?Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

 Re: Borderlands

Well during the Co-op story you can walk up to your friend and melee them, if they melee you back then a dome surrounds you and you fight each other there. You can also set up arena for 1v1. Max however is 4 peeps.Cool thanks for the reply. This game is starting to get my interest. I need a game like this in my rotation. All I have in my current game rotation is basically shooters . Re: Borderlands

So I'm guessing you just melee everyone you're playing with to get the four people ? ?

How's the co-op? Does it follow the single player, or is different for co-op in terms of what you do, quests, loots, etc?Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

 Re: Borderlands

what you need to know is single player and coop are the same thing in terms of what you play through. With additional people, the enemies get stronger and the loot drops get better. Also, if you are playing with somebody of a higher level than you, there will be missions you can do that he won't be able get credit for if he's already finished them.

As for the FFA/TDM aspect, this is done only through coop mode (as mentioned above, by meeleing a teammate). There is no option to select a FFA/TDM only game mode, thus there are no online lobbies or matchmaking in that regard. There are lobbies to set up online coop games.

Hopefully this clears some stuff up, I understand the online aspect of the game can be a bit confusing to somebody who hasn't played the game before.Lux y VeritasComment

 Re: Borderlands

Actually, for the 4 person FFA, TDM type stuff there are arenas located in each area that you have to find to unlock. You can then teleport to them and once inside begin your FFA/TDM stuff.Comment

 Re: Borderlands

It is a bit confusing to say the least. This seems like the perfect game for me to pick up before NHL 11 comes out. I probably don't need to ask this but, is the DLC worth purchasing right away (once I've purchased the game?) or should I wait until the game has been beaten before I purchase the DLC?what you need to know is single player and coop are the same thing in terms of what you play through. Re: Borderlands

well, the DLC is good. The first and third DLCs (Zombie Island and General Knoxx, respectively) are very good, mission-driven add-ons that are both a lot of fun to play. The second, Moxxi's Underdome, is something I would only recommend to the hardcore Borderlands players, and that's mostly because it gives you two additional character allocation points upon completion of it.It is a bit confusing to say the least. Sounds good! One more question, do you know if there's anymore DLC planned? Or is the three they've released all they're going to do?well, the DLC is good. Re: Borderlands

first, I never directly answered your question earlier. I would wait until you play through the game once before deciding if you want the DLC or not.

And there is a fourth DLC on the way, no release date has been announced for it yet.Lux y VeritasComment

Oh I wasn't planning on buying the DLC anyway. I never do with any game. Got to finish the main campaign first before you play the DLC.

 Re: Borderlands

Alright so I just traded in NHL 10 to get Borderlands and I'm am LOVING IT! Gosh this is such an awesome game, the guns, the quests, the co-op. I started out playing this game by myself, then I hopped on with some buddies and did some co-op for 3 hours. This game is definitely more fun and a more rewarding experiance with other people playing with you, rather than you playing by yourself that's for sure. Co-op really does well when you're in those massive fights against those Skag's and against those psycho's. It's awesome to see everyone working together to take them all down in a hectic battle.

I've also lost track of how many times I've switched my weapons around. I'm currently holding an SMG, Sniper, and Shotgun. Haven't unlocked that fourth weapon spot yet. I'm already level 20 lol. Did some duels with some friends, got my butt kicked though, they're all level 50+. Haven't touched the arena yet, but that looks promising.

This game is great, can't wait to beat the main storyline and go and purchase the DLC!Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo
