This game is definitely more fun and a more rewarding experiance with other people playing with you, rather than you playing by yourself that's for sure. Co-op really does well when you're in those massive fights against those Skag's and against those psycho's. It's awesome to see everyone working together to take them all down in a hectic battle.

I've also lost track of how many times I've switched my weapons around. I'm currently holding an SMG, Sniper, and Shotgun. Haven't unlocked that fourth weapon spot yet. I'm already level 20 lol. Did some duels with some friends, got my butt kicked though, they're all level 50+. Haven't touched the arena yet, but that looks promising.

This game is great, can't wait to beat the main storyline and go and purchase the DLC!
Dude i just got the game and am completely with you, however I haven't gotten to play online co-op yet

I just started playing this game with a buddy from university and his two younger brothers. Wow, it really does bring me back to the old Diablo days. Just when you think that is your last quest you unlock a new ability or an **** weapon. Great great fun, can't wait to go through it all. Only Level 17 at the moment.

It keeps getting better. What's nice about the game is that it's pacing can be FAST if you choose it to be. Like on the 2nd play through you'll go through the game twice as fast as the first go and it turns into a heck of a battle in spots. All the items that you find keep getting better and better.

The add-ons are pretty good too. The thing about Moxxi's Thunderdome is that it gives you a storage place to store items you want to save for another character or higher level that you can't use yet. Nice part is that you can upgrade the amount of items you store in game (per characther) by buying more slots (in game money). Granted that add-on it $10 bucks I found it worth while. The actual "horde" type mode is pretty cool too since it's wave after wave of bad guys.

Dr.Zed's Island is decent, but some won't think it's worth the $10.

General Knoxx. It's awesome and totally worth the $10 bucks. There's a lot to do. Tough enemies and a good ole boss fight. Lots of new items. Most of all the ability to become a level 61.

I can't wait for the next expansion next month. Clap Trap Revolution!

I thought Dr. Zed's Island was great. Might have had to do with the story telling though and overall Borderlands comedy.

                        Re: Borderlands

I'm interested in picking this up. Couple quick questions...

Is this an open world type game? Can you go anywhere you want and then do missions? Or is it more linear? If it is open world, how big is the world.

How long does it take to complete the main story? And are there any side quests.

I've been interested in this game for awhile, but I need a non-sports game to play til Fallout comes out and this game seems awesome.

Its more open game than linear with a huge game world, but you do need to complete certain missions along the story line top open up areas. Each area has closed borders with several entrances that are used to move into different areas. There is also quick travel. There was always plenty open to explore while moving along and lots of side missions.

I usually forgot about the main quest and had most of the side missions done by the time I "completed" the game. So I am not sure how long it takes if you just plow through it. I've spent probably about 30 hours on my first playthrough in the main game.

the story took me about 30-35 hours to complete on the first playthrough. Of course I wanted to get my guy to the max level and get some much sweeter guns and items, so I did playthrough 2, which is where it's the same world but the enemies are higher level and drop better loot. All told, through both playthroughs, the Dr. Zed DLC, Moxxi's Underdome DLC and the General Knoxx DLC, I've dropped about 75 hours into the game.

This game is great. I'm on level 15 so far and having a lot of fun. I love all the different weapons I'm seeing.

My biggest complaint is the lack of people in this game. Like when I opened up the gate so the people of Fyrestone could leave, I haven't seen one person besides the enemy anywhere. I loved it in Fallout 3 where you went to different towns and settlements or even just wondered the Wasteland you would come across a lot of people. Borderlands just seems empty.

Anyways this game is fun. I got it off Gamefly and it looks like I'm going to choose to keep it.

New DLC is out today! Claptrap New Revolution.

                                Here is a preview

Robot Revolution's premise is just as quirky and tongue-in-cheek as any of the past Borderlands DLC releases. The story goes something like this: Hyperion Corp., in an effort to rid the land of treasure hunters, creates the Claptrap Ninja Assassin. Claptrap's around the land turn against Hyperion, and also "Claptrap-ify" many of the indigenous creatures...
The DLC pack's new areas are a great deal larger than any offered in the past DLC, with six giant zones to explore...
Gearbox is raising the level cap to 69 for the release of Robot Revolution, though the gameplay in the DLC will progress depending on where players are in the regular game...
One feature Borderlands fans are sure to enjoy in Robot Revolution is the return of many of the classic bosses from the past. All the bosses, like the creatures of Pandora, have been "Claptrap-ified," and offer an additional challenge since players first encountered them.
