Right now working date is January 28th, it got moved back from the 10th, and could move back but they said the move to the 28th was so they could ensure if was coming out on the date they were saying. The beta is really solid and they are deploying another big update soon and the beta has not had many issues, looks like this game will release pretty strongly and have a lot of support after release.

This is going to be much more of a Killzone 2 supported sony game versus a Socom game.

Confrontation should not be called Socom. Any similarities the game has with its much better predecessors is entirely superficial.

I get what you're saying but I just wanted to put that out there.

Anyway I'm definitely interested in how this game will come out. If it was 3rd person I'd probably buy it first day. As it is, I'll rent it at some point around release.

Country, the thing about the beta that has impressed me is the lack of lag. It plays smooth even at this early state. The game is very overwhelming at first. It will take you some time to learn about it. I just say be patient and you will be rewarded.

thanks man. My main concern is lag. If thats smooth or relatively smooth, then I can see myself losing countless hours in this game.

I find this game to be pretty blah.....the graphics s-ck in my opinion. Sure it doesn't lag but there are not 70,000 to 100,000 playing it yet.

Its too much running around to shoot people, I want action in these games.....compare this to MW2 when it comes out and I just dont think I'd play this over the Infinity Ward product or even the Socom DLC that is almost here.

I've been in the beta for a month, and I expected way more lag than I've seen (which has been hardly any). I've played in rooms with 64, 128, & 256 players and have not been negatively affected by the number of players (especially since this is a beta). This is one game where teamwork is so much more essential to win than in other games. You can run around and shoot as many people as you want (and some people do), but it has nothing to do with whether you win the game or not. If you do not utilize teamwork, you just won't win (especially in those 256-player Domination matches).

I got the beta last night. The servers were offline so I will have to try again tonight. Looking forward to it.

When you boot up the game look at the information bar on the left of the screen, it will tell you the server hours if you didn't already see it.

The beta will go 24/7 November 9th I do believe is the date they said, but for now they haven't kept em open that much as they are really trying to work on them and keep progressing things.

Couple, go to Gamestop and pre order. Then if you don't want it, go get your 5 bucks back. Its a fun game for sure.

giddy up. i always have 5 bucks in the gamestop system that i just bounce around for pre-ordering just to get demos.
